26~goodbye

SOOJIN POV

It was the morning after my Inkigayo stage and one of staff had called me to report to Saeri's office.

Here we go.
Let's get this done and over with.

Approaching the office at the end of the hall, I held my hand on my chest stabilising my breaths. Finally gaining the courage, I opened the door.

"Good morning, Saeri-nim."

Without lifting her head from her laptop, she gestured with her hand for me to sit. Complying, I took a seat at the chair opposite her.

A few dreadful seconds had passed and Saeri finally spoke.

"Care to explain what happened last night?" she asked with poison in her voice.

Hearing her angry tone I felt a cold shiver run down my spine. Almost giving into her icy stare, I reminded myself of what Haruto told me the night before.

"Whatever happens in Saeri's office tomorrow, remember that it is only temporary. Before you know it, you'll be at your new life at Bighit."

Reciting his words in my head, I stood my ground, taking a deep breath.

"Saeri-nim. I do not regret anything I did last night."

Gulping, I watched as the woman's eye twitched. Squeezing my hands into fists, I prepared myself for the worst.

"Park Soojin-ssi. I'll have you know that not once in the history YG Entertainment have I ever been so blatantly disrespected." she spat lashing out.

"Your actions last night were not only ignoring my specific requests but completely and utterly jeopardised our company's image."

The woman huffed breaths of fire as she glared at me with her every being.

"You kissed the boy for God's sake! On national television!"

Almost sweating under her gaze, I suddenly interrupted her.

"To be fair Saeri-nim, the public were very fond of that kiss. It's been trending all over the world."

Completely offended by my words, the woman scoffed.

"Do you think this is some kind of joke? I don't know if you are aware but relationships are YG's biggest most serious banned restrictions." she spoke in disgust.

I stared at the floor with a blank expression.

Staring in shock at my refusal to break under her yells, the woman finally finished ranting and pulled out a form from under her desk.

Staring at the piece of paper, I felt myself breath.

There it is.
My ticket out of here.

"Under the circumstances of breaching section 1a and 5c of the YG idol policy, I now declare that you, Ms Soojin Park, shall have your contract terminated."

The woman flipped over the document and revealed the other side.

"In saying this, starting tomorrow noon, you shall be forbidden from ever interacting with the idols at YG."

Her words caused my eyes to sting.

"This includes Blackpink, IKON, WINNER and of course, the boys you very well deceived into helping you, Treasure."

Her words were like a punch to the face as I realised the severity of the situation.

I'll never get to see those sunbaes again.
I'll never get to see the boys again.
