Chapter 8I walked out to the woods with Aaron in tow, both of us wanting to see Aidan close up in werewolf form. Also I wanted to see if it was actually true that he was a wolf, but finding out that Aarons a demon and I'm the keeper I'm not sure what to believe any more. We got closer seeing his light brown fir and yellow eyes he just stood their staring at us not moving as we approached.
"So, you're a wolf?" I asked as if he could speak. He nodded his head understanding what I said.
"I like your fur." Aaron quietly said reaching out to touch him. "Its soft." he smiled while still petting Aidan
"Um sorry Aaron, but you're going to need to stop petting Aidan so he can go shift back to talk to us."
He backs up as Aidan ran into the forest a wolf and came back out as a human. Wow that was fast. I don't understand why he couldn't change in front of us he must have thought we wouldn't want to see him change. Not sure why.
"You wanted to talk?"
My eyes open wide looking at Aidan in all his naked glory. "Um yeah, but um could you put on some clothes first." I say trying to not look at his lower half while shielding Aaron's eyes.
"Oh yeah sorry." He runs off to get some pants on. Coming back he finally has some clothes on, but oddly enough he's not wearing shoes. "Sorry about that sometimes I forget I need to put clothes on after I shift. So, you wanted to talk?"
"Yeah, I want to know how much you know about the demons and who I am."
He sighed "Okay, well I know I'm supposed to help and protect you when we fight the demons." he paused looking at Aaron "I know you're a demon." Aaron froze "don't worry I not going to do anything unless I need to and so far you haven't don't anything to endanger anyone lives so you're okay for now." He starred him down making Aaron trying to hide behind me.
"I like you better as a wolf." a small voice from behind me says who I can only guess is Aaron.
"I'm only saying the truth, once you get your powers you'll be unpredictable and not who you are right now and I don't trust you no matter how nice you look now."
Aarons now crying into my back with his arms tightly around my waist I don't see what Aidan is talking about he doesn't look like he could hurt a fly. Although looks can be deceiving.
"I realize you don't trust him, but could you be nice to him?" I ask holding a crying Aaron in my arms.
Aidan sighs "I am sorry but that's how I was raised you could be different I don't know, but what I do know is you won't be the same on your birthday."
We walked back to my house so we could hang out I'm not sure why Aidan wants to hang with Aaron since he doesn't trust him, but I'm not going to push it.
"So what do you guys want to do?" Aidan asked plopping down of the couch.
"Anything that's not boring." Aaron said quietly still clinging onto my shirt.
"I'm not going to hurt you Aaron." Aidan said looking at the way Aaron was clinging to me. "We're still friends. I would do anything unless needed."
"Okay."
"Um how about we go some were instead of staying at my house all day it's a nice day and I'm going to be turning 18 tomorrow you guys could stay the night." I suggested trying to get them off the subject of Aaron being a demon.
"Sure, we could walk around I have money so we could go to a movie or something." Aidan said
"Can we go to the park or something?" Aaron asked
"We could go to a movie I hear they have some really cool action movies playing." I suggested.
"Sure, but it's on the other side of town If we walk the movies would probably be over by then." Aidan said.
"My dad could drive unless any of you have a license."
"I do." Aaron said
"Okay I'll go tell my parents." I kissed Aarons head then walked into the kitchen where my parents are.
(Aarons Pov)
I sat down on the couch next to Adian to wait for James to get back with the keys so we could head to the fair. I kept looking at my hand feeling really uncomfortable without my boyfriend. Wait are we even dating? It's not like we went on a date yet.
"So, how are you doing with to whole demon thing?" Adian asked breaking me out of my thoughts.
"G-good I guess." I shrugged still looking at my hands.
"You don't have to be scared around me I'm not going to do anything till you turn 18 and even then you might not hurt anyone." He shifted to look at me "Look all I'm saying is something could happen on your birthday." He paused "where are your parents?"
"I don't know probably at home why?"
"And they just let you leave?" This was getting to personal.
"No okay I ran away can we drop this?"
"Aaron how much do you know about your parents?"
"Not much other then they are mean. Why is there something I should know?"
"Well your parents are probably planning on doing something on you 18th birthday, because that's when your full powers come in and they need you."
"Need me for what?" I was freaking out at this point. I don't want to leave James or go back to them.
"The demons want to take over the world but can't do it without the sword that James has. They probably want you to get close to him so you can get the sword."
"I won't do that."
"You may not have a choice once your demon instants kick in you'll want the sword and your demon side can over power your human side."
"How do I stop it from doing that?"
"I don't know I'm not a demon, but his parents can help you with that."
"Hey guys sorry it took so long my parents wanted to talk so let's go to the movies."
