Chapter 6
We took a walk talking about anything and everything we could think of, just being dorks. It was nice just to forget about the conversation that I knew was coming, trying to hide the fact that sooner or later we would have to talk about what happened this morning well sucked. I honestly just wish I was a normal teenager, but considering that was never going to happen I had to face the fact that Aaron was a demon and I had to figure out what I was going to do. We ended up sitting in the grass and some field looking up at to sky.
"James?" Aaron asked breaking the silence
"Yeah?"
"Well I was wondering if we could talk about this morning." he said sitting up fidgeting with his shoe laces.
Still laying in the grass I sighed sitting up to face him "Okay well let me start from the beginning. One night I was sitting alone just watching movies and I heard a movement so I went to the room that my parents never let me open and well I opened it this guy gave me a sword that glowed once I touched It so now I'm supposed to be protecting this world from demons."
"But according to your parents I am a demon" he paused holding back tears. I tried to comfort him, but he pushed me away. "What are you going to do to me?" he asked finally looking up to my eyes. He's eyes are glossy with tears just waiting to spill.
Despite his refusal I pulled him into my lap and held him close not letting go. "I don't care what my parents say. Yes, you are a demon but there is no way I am going to hurt you." he nodded into my chest. "We will figure it out okay?" I pull back so I could see is pretty blue eyes making sure he knew that what I was saying was true.
"Okay," he's voice cracking a little.
Wrapping his arms around my neck and rested his head on my shoulder, the both of us sat in the grass for a while as I rubbed his back just like this morning.
Taking out my phone from my pocket to check the time, it was around 12:00 time for lunch I thought. I kissed Aarons head to get his attention.
"hmm." he answered sleepily.
"Want to go get some lunch?" I offered he nodded his head as we both got up dusting the dirt and grass off our clothes.
"Can we get pizza for lunch?" he asked rubbing the tired from his eyes.
"Sure, but we have to go back to my house so I can get my money." I say patting my pockets down checking if I had money.
When I got the money we headed to one of the pizza places it town. Finding a place to sit he ordered the pizza and I paid considering I had the money.
"This is so good." Aaron said with a mouth full of pizza as sauce and cheese falling out of his half opened half closed mouth. I laughed grabbing a napkin to wipe his face like a mother would do to her child. He finished the piece he stuffed in his mouth giggling as I wiped the sauce from his face. He reminded me of a chipmunk with all that food stuffed in his cheeks.
"You're so cute." I said without even thinking.
He looked in my eyes finally swallow the food "really?" he said getting excited.
"Yeah." I smiled not even bothering to deny it, because let's face it he was adorable.
He looked down blushing, god he's adorable when he does that I just wanted to pull him into my arms and never let go. We continued to eat our pizza and drink out pop.
