                                                                    Chapter 5

   (James Pov)

I walked down the stairs to find my parents in the kitchen sitting at the table talking quietly and sipping there Coffee.

"What did you guys want to tell me?" I asked kind of annoyed, because I'd rather be eating breakfast with the cutie up stairs.

"Well it's about your new friend." My mom said trying to ease me into the conversation.

  "What about him?"

"Son, what do you really know about him?" My dad asked suspiciously.

"What do you mean? He's a teenager like me, well maybe not just like me but he's a. . . "

My dad cut me off "I know you're young and can't get your full powers yet but you should be able to tell that he's a demon." he said trying his best to be quiet so Aaron wouldn't hear.

"Really dad?" I asked not believing him I mean come on he can't be a demon that means I would have to kill him and I can't do that I . . . I think I'm falling in love with him.

"Yes really." my mom butted him before he could get a word in, knowing him he probably would have yelled to get his point across. Even though it never works that's just how he is. It's not like he would hit me just yell till he just walks away to cool down.

"We know this might come as a shock, but it's true with use being older then you we know how to spot one." she said breaking me out of my thoughts.

"How many other things are you guys keeping from me?" I asked they looked shocked now.

"We aren't talking about that right now." my dad stated

"I realize that dad, but I'm tired of you guys keeping things from me It's getting tiring not knowing everything and only knowing tiny parts of who I am and who my friends are." I got up from my chair "when you guys are ready to tell me everything I'll be ready to listen." walking over to the stove I got a pan placed it down and fried so eggs enough for Aaron and I.

Also making toast and sausages I put it all on one plate and poured two cups of orange juice. I walked up stairs with everything in my hands, thankfully nothing fell as I walked up to my door. Knocking on it with my foot considering my hands where full of food and drinks and I could not possible open the door without dropping something.

Aaron opened the door moving out of the way so I could put the plates and juice down. Turning around I watched him close the door he turned around to face me. Examining his face I saw he was crying, I rushed over to him pulling his body to mine trying my best to calm him down.

He finally quieted down and hugged me back garbing my shirt like I was going to leave and never come back. I repeatedly rubbed his back knowing he needed it.

"Why where you crying?" I asked still holding him and rubbing his back.

"I . . . I w-went down to s-see what was taking you a-and I heard you and your p-parents arguing a-about Me." he said sniffling. "That's when I ran back hear and started crying." I pulled back to look at him lifting my hand to his cheek.

"You don't need to worry about that, okay?"

"But they said I was a demon" Aaron looked down at the floor as if ashamed or scared of what I might do.

"We will talk about it after breakfast." I looked at my bed where the food still was probably cold by now.

We ate in silence, but it was a comfortable kind of silence with Aaron quietly steeling glances at me as he ate his toast off our plate.
