It was time for Conny to leave so all the children and Isabella were downstairs by the door saying goodbye to Conny. "I'm slow, and I wasn't as smart as everyone, but even after I leave, I'll do my best. I'll have Little Bunny so I'll be okay." Conny said a little speech before she leaves.
"Conny..." Don let out on the verge of tears.
Conny started to get sad at the thought of leaving everyone as she looked at them all. "I don't want to leave anymore. I want to stay here!" Conny said finally crying. At the sight of it, Don and Emma were starting to cry too.
"Conny... Conny!" Don said trying not to cry wiping his tears away. As soon as they left it was quiet and everyone went to go take baths or clean.
M/N'S POV
I was with Gilda and Norman going into the dining hall with a broom in hand to finish cleaning up. As we were walking in we see Emma running to the other side of the room for who knows what reason.
"Let's hurry and finish up cleaning," Gilda said to us but gets distracted as we saw Emma run past us. As we watch her we see what she's running to and it's Conny's bunny.
"Conny's already gone!" Gilda exclaimed.
"What do we do?" Emma asked, looking back at us with Conny's bunny in hand.
"what do you mean by 'we'? i'm not doing anything." I said to Emma as Ray walks into the room.
"There's still time," Ray told Emma. "From the window, I saw the lights on the gate were still on. Mama isn't back yet either, so I don't think Conny has left yet." Ray explained.
Norman turned to Emma after Ray had finished his explanation, "Let's hurry, Emma." Norman told Emma.
"Okay." She responded.
"tell conny i said 'bye' when you see her," I said before they left.
"Will do!" Emma said with a smile while running out the door with Norman.
Once Emma and Norman were gone Gilda left too. I turned around from the door to face Ray. Ray was looking out the window his eyes following Emma and Normans disappearing figures.
"what are you doing?" I asked blankly, Ray looks from the window at me.
"What do you mean?" He answered with a question.
I furrowed my eyebrows slightly getting agitated. "i mean that they could get in trouble if they're caught and you know that so why'd you let them go," I asked him being clear this time.
