Chapter 5

It's getting late, so I decide to get up and leave.

- Me: "It was a great but I have to go."
- Langa: "Wait, I'll walk you out."
- Reki: "I'm coming with you!"
- Me: "Ok, bye Miya! Bye Joe!"
- Joe: "Goodbye!"

We start walking, after 20 minutes of walking we come across a supermarket, Langa decides to go and buy us a drink which leaves Reki and me alone.

- Me: "I wanted to thank you."
- Reki: "Uh? Why?"
- Me: "He has regained his joy and I know it is thanks to you. His father's death had touched him deeply and I was worried that he would be alone once in Japan, but I can see he's happy again so thank you."

I look at Reki and see that his cheeks are slightly tinged with red.

- Me: "Not getting used to compliments of what I see haha."
- Reki: "I didn't do anything I assure you...I just talked to him about skateboarding and he liked it, but tell me, what was he like in Canada?"
- Me: "Well ... he was pretty reserved but had a few friends that I didn't like very much by the way..."
- Reki: "Why?"
- Me: "I felt like they were taking advantage of him... Even though he seemed cold and distant he was very nice, sometimes too much. Because of his appearance he didn't have many friends either because the boys were jealous of his popularity with the girls or because they thought he was too cold, so when he managed to have them he did everything to keep them..."
- Reki: "The bastards."
- Me: "The day Oliver died it was hard for everyone, his family and mine. He began to keep everything to himself with me and distanced himself from others, his so- "friends" did not even try to find out how he was. Then he told me he was moving to Japan."
- Reki: "How did you react?"
- Me: "I was trying to be optimistic for him by telling him it's a new start but he wasn't really motivated. I'm not gonna lie to you, the day he left I cried so much, it was the first time we were gonna live this far from each other haha. I also had some family issues and he was my only pillar but I didn't want to show him..."
- Reki: "It must have been very hard for you two I can't imagine being separated from one of my sisters... But now you're back together and I feel like you're doing much better. And now he has a group of friends so you have nothing to worry about! What about problems with your family? Are you better?"
- Me: "You can say that yes... Ah Langa is back!"

I was able to avoid this discussion. Langa gives us our drinks and we go back.

- Langa: "What were you talking about?"
- Me: "It's a secret."
- Langa: "Uh? But you always tell me everything."
- Me: "That's what you think!"
- Langa: "Uhh? Reki were you talking about what?"
- Reki: "You heard the lady, it's a secret. Sarah come here please."

I get closer to Reki and he stoops down so he can whisper in my ear.

- Reki: "I suggest we both take care of this idiot."
- Me: "Okay then..."

I'm reaching out to him.

- Me: "Pinky promise?"
- Reki: "So it's from you he's getting this stuff out of... Ok pinky promised"
- Langa: "Hey! You promised what? And why can't I be in your promise and secrets?"
- Me: "Don't be jealous, I just won Reki's heart before you."
- Langa: "UH?"

He gives me a glare look and gnaws his teeth. He's really jealous!

- Me: "Calm down, I'm making fun of you, no need to look at me like that! I didn't know you were so possessive!"
- Langa: "Shut up, go find yourself another best friend."
- Reki: "It's not supposed to be you?"
- Me: "Yes, but not anymore!"

I approach Reki and take his arm which makes Langa jealous.

- Me: "Since you're mean to me, I'm going to steal your beloved friend, ha!"

I look at Reki with puppy eyes and he immediately understands that I want to annoy Langa.

- Me: "Reki, will you be my new best friend? Please! Langa is too mean to me..."
- Reki: "Of course Sarah! Langa, you are not ashamed to bother this poor girl !?

      He hugs me which makes Langa mad. I think this man owes me a little explanation hehe.

- Langa: "Don't fall into her trap Reki ! She can be very manipulative when she wants. And you let go!

Reki and I go off laughing what Langa leaves perplexed. I push Reki on him and he catches him which makes the two boys blush a little.

- Me: "We were just bothering you, you can keep your Reki I wouldn't steal it, i can see that he prefers you... For now hehe! Well, I'll leave you here, we've arrived at my hotel, bye!"

I start to leave at the same time I hear Langa's grumble while Reki makes fun of him. They're fun together haha. Suddenly I hear some of their conversations.

- Reki: "We're going to S tonight?"
- Langa: "Sure."
