Chapter 4

  So this is Joe's restaurant... It's really nice ! I notice right away that there are not many people, well, it is still early enough to go to the restaurant. We head to the counter to ask for a table when Reki stops suddenly.

- Reki: "Miya!"
- Miya: "Oh, hi Reki."

           He's a boy who must be just 13, he has a hoodie with cat ears. That's so cute! Reki sits in front of this Miya and Langa and I follow him.

- Miya: "Hi Langa."

          He begins to inspect me and that's a strange feeling coming from such a young boy... His eyes stops at my waist where I still have Langa's vest strapping.

- "Miya: "Oh, blue slime, is that your girlfriend?"

           blue slime?

- Langa: "Please stop calling me that. And no, she's just a friend."
- Miya: "I thought it was weird... My name is Miya Chinen."
- Me: "Sarah Williams nice to meet you."
- Miya: "Are you new?"

- Me: "Yes, I just arrived in Japan, it's my first day of school."
- Miya: "I see, welcome then, but I'm surprised you two are hanging out with a girl."
- Reki: "What's that supposed to mean?"
- Miya: "That you are not popular at all. Maybe Langa at the limit, but you..."
- Reki: "Eh!"
- Langa: "Sarah and I grew up together that's why she's with us."
- Miya: "Oh, I see, poor thing. It couldn't have been easy growing up with him..."
- Me: "It's true that it was difficult..."
- Langa: "That's more my call!"

         We decide to sit at the same table as Miya. Langa sits down with Reki and I sit down with Miya, from here I can see that he was playing a game that I know very well...

- Me: "You play Undertale? I loved that game in middle school !"
- Miya: "You know? Cool !"
- Me: "Where are you at?"
- Miya: "I'm stuck fighting Sans..."
- Me: " Can i ? "

            He handed me his cell phone and it only took me a few tries to defeat the enemy.

- Me: "Ah! I kept some reflexes from middle school !"
- Miya: "Already? You're so cool ! Reki can we keep her ?"
- Reki: "Do you think it's an animal or something ?"
- Miya: "Uh? N-No sorry, I wanted to ask if you want to keep hanging out with these two losers so we can play together ? "
- Me: "Sure, I'm having fun with you."                                                                                                                            - Miya: " Cool !"

           He seems at the same time mature, at the same time a bit salty and at the same time a little kid. It's quite funny!

- Langa: "We're supposed to be the losers?"
- Miya: "Well done you managed to understand something simple."

        The two young men cast hateful glances at him as he takes up the phone and stands against me to play. It's too adorable !

- Reki: "Why are you so nice to her? You've known her for 10 minutes! "
- Miya: "She looks cool and you don't."
- Reki: "You little shi-"
- Me: "Hey! Don't insult him! He's adorable!"

          I take him against me to give him a hug which seems to surprise him a little as he blushes. Langa and Reki look at him with even more hatred look which makes the little one laugh.

- Miya: "Jealous Slimes?"

         Both pretended to ignore him and started talking to each other. Suddenly, a man with a fairly muscular build enters my field of vision and heads towards us. Who is it and what these muscles?

- Joe: "I've already told you not to spend time here..."
- Reki: "But this time we come to eat and we have a guest!"
- Joe: "Oh! But who is this lovely lady?"
- Reki: "A childhood friend of Langa, she has just arrived in Japan!"                                                               - Miya: "And she's really cool ! "                                                                                                                                       - Me : " Haha, thank you Miya, my name is Sarah , nice to meet you."                                                             - Joe : " I see you've already won Miya's heart! Delighted, you can call me Joe. What y'all want to eat ? "                                                                                                                                                                                           - Miya : " I don't have monet on me so I pass."                                                                                                         - Reki : "Don't be silly, I invite you. Take what pleases you ! "                                                                             - Miya : " Oh, uh... thank you Reki."

               He seems a little embarrassed. It's sad, but I don't think he's used to getting attention... We order and Joe goes to get our food.

- Me: "He seems like a nice friend of yours."
- Reki: "He's super cool! You should see him when he skates! Besides, you should meet Cherry and Shadow too! And also-"

        Langa throws him a punch as if to silence him while Miya pretends not to have heard anything,that's weird... And, Cherry? Shadow? These are not common names...

- Langa: "We'll see this next time, you know, she gets anxious when she meets too many people at once."

      He didn't have to say that... Reki and Miya look me in the eye and quickly understand that what he said is true. It's not my fault I'm a little shy...

- Reki: "Oh sorry! I didn't want to make you uncomfortable or anything..."
- Miya: "That's one of the reasons you'll never have a girlfriend, you think everyone is like you."
- Me: "N-No don't worry! I really enjoyed meeting all of you and would love to meet your other friends. You didn't have to say that Langa, I am fine."
- Langa: "Really?"
- Me: "Yeah, I'm not a little girl anymore you know."

       Joe approaches with our plates and drops them off.

- Joe: "Anyway you met the loudest ones so I think everything will be okay."

           He probably heard us talking. He smiles at me and sits down beside Langa.

- Joe: "Kaoru is quiet enough when he's not yelling at me and Kenta is not too quiet or loud in everyday life."
- Me: "Wasn't Cherry and Shadow their names? And how about in everyday life?"
- Langa: "Uhhh, these are codename types!"
- Joe: "Exactly! We like to play code names when we're between us. Dude stuff!"
- Me: "I see..."

          I feel they're hiding a few things from me, but what? It must be important if Langa doesn't want to tell me. I'm going to have to do my little investigation—
