Chapter 3

We've been talking for a while. Reki is really Cool! I'm glad to know that Langa is in good hands.

- Reki: " Do you want to try skating ?"

- Me: "I don't know... I've never been able to stand on a board. Whether it's snowboarding or skateboarding."

- Reki: "Don't worry, I can hold you if you want!"

        Langa looks at me a little weird. Did i do something wrong?

- Me: "Ok, I want to try then... But I prefer that Langa holds me..."

            Langa gets up and I can see a little sad look on Reki's face. Don't tell me I hurt him! What an idiot!

Me: "It's not against you, it's just... that I don't like people I barely know touching me..."

- Reki: "Oh no no, don't worry! I understand that it can make you uncomfortable, use my skateboard, it is more basic than Langa's."

- Me: "Thank you Reki."

       Langa takes the skateboard and goes where there is the least people. I'm a little nervous, I don't really want to fall in front of everyone, and I'm wearing a skirt. It is not the best outfit to fall... He puts the skate on the ground and  take off his jacket while Reki joins us.

- Langa: "Raise your arms."

             I do what he tells me and he wraps his jacket around my waist which adds a long pu to my outfit.

- Langa: "Just in case."

- Me: "Oh, uh.. Thank you!"

- Reki: "Ready? First of all, put the foot you feel most comfortable with on the front and the other on the back of the board."

        Okay, so far it's easy.

- Reki: "All right, now Langa, push her gently. It's so you can feel the feeling of rolling."

        He takes my hand and my waist and pushes me slightly. I'm shaking a little bit but I'm fine.

-Reki: "You're doing great! Now Langa is just going to hold your hand and you're going to push with your back foot to move on. Try to tremble the least.

                 He drops my waist and I do what Reki told me. I think I'm doing pretty well!

- Reki: "Great! Want to try it on your own?"

       I look at Langa a little anxious and he nods as if to give me courage.

"Me: " O-Ok, I'll try."

            I get back in place and  push to move. Not even 5 seconds later I feel the skateboard shaking and getting ejected. Fuck! I close my eyes because of the fear of shock. Uh? I don't feel the cold ground but rather something hot and soft.

- Reki: "Ouch...."

-Me: "Reki!? Are you ok ?"

-Reki: "I'm fine, don't worry, are you okay? Didn't you hurt yourself?"

- Langa: "Hey, are you ok you two? Nothing to break?"

          He helps me get up and then helps reki.

- Me: "Yes, thanks to you Reki!"

- Reki: "No worries, happy to have helped!"

           He show us a big smile, how can we radiate so much just by smiling? Suddenly I feel my stomach gurgling. Seen the faces of the two boys they must have heard, oops.

-Langa: "Hahaha! You would have smelled like you were hungry."

            His belly growls even louder than mine.

-Reki: "You can talk, you're always hungry! "

-Me: "I confirm! "

          The three of us are laughing and then we're picking up our things for lunch.

- Me: "Where do we eat?"

-Reki: "We can take her to Joe's restaurant, what do you think, Langa?"

Langa: "Why not."

         I don't know who this Joe is, but I trust them. Thinking back on my fall, I feel really bad... Even after all this time I haven't progressed.

-Reki: "Don't make that face Sarah! That was pretty good for a first time! Let's just say it wasn't as bad as Langa haha's debut!"

-Langa: "Reki, no."

-Me: "Don't listen to him and tell me everything."

Reki: "Sorry Langa, you heard the orders. Well,  when he started, he'd put duct tape around his feet and the board, I'd never seen that!"

-Me: "Seriously? You suck, man."

       He pulls his tongue out and I answer him the same way.

-Me: "Please continue."

-Reki: "There was this time when he wanted to ride on a slope, always with his feet attached, the thing we didn't plan on and there was a road down the slope and he couldn't stop. My heart almost stopped when I saw he almost got run over by a truck! "

-Me: "What?" You almost got run over?"

-Langa: "That's why I didn't want you to say too much."

-Me: "I knew it was a bad idea to leave you alone, but-"

-Langa: "I'm not alone! I have Reki! "

        What is this face ?

-Me: "Oh yeah sorry Reki. And you, you should thank him for being there for you! Thanks for looking out for that idiot."

-Langa: "Hey !"

-Reki: "Hahaha, it's funny to watch both of you, you look like  siblings ! But you know, we're looking to each other, it's normal."

          They both look each other in the eyes and exchange a tender smile. It seems that they are from their own world, so cute!

-Reki: "Now that I think about it, do you like Italian food? You weren't led to ask..."

-Langa: "Don't worry, she loves it."

-Me: "Aww, You know me so well Langa, it means a lot to me!"

Langa: "I've spent most of my life with you, so I know your preferences. And also be careful you just switch with English, Reki doesn't understand."

         It's true that he seems lost in our conversation.

Me: "Uh? I switch a lot? Why didn't you tell me!"

Langa: "Calm down, it happened to me as often at the beginning."

Reki: "Oh, you are talking about the fact that you use English words sometimes ? Don't worry, nobody's gonna judge you for it. Besides, it's cute when you do it and so are you, Langa!"

        I'm not really used to being told nice things like that, I feel my cheeks a little heated.

Langa: "Careful you're all red"

        He says that to me in English. He's even redder than me.

Me :"You can talk, you look like you're sick."

Reki: "Are you two okay? You're all red..."

Langa + Me: "Yes we are fine ! "

Reki: " Good because we're here!"
