They walked down the crowded passageways of Diagon Alley as Evelina balanced all of her books. Harry and the others walked around the stores while she was trying to balance biting books, open quill ink, and two of the plain black robes until she got sorted.
"Only one more shop. You'll like this one. It's called Ollivanders. Only the best place to get wands", Molly smiled.
The group walked down a few more halls until they arrived at a dark grey shop with two circular windows on each side. "Here it is dear. Go ahead and walk-in. We won't bother you", Molly replied, handing her a few galleons.
Evelina took a deep breath before walking into the old, slightly dusty shop. Inside was an older man who looked as old as the store. His crazy white hair and odd demeanor frightened her but she continued to walk into the store. "Well hello, Evelina. I remember when your twin came in with Hagrid the very first time. He had a very special wand just like I assume yours will be."
"I'm sorry. I don't think I understand what you're talking about."
"No worries dear", he grinned. "Come along. I've been waiting and think this wand screams you."
The old man by the name of Ollivander grabbed a box from the shelves stacked with all sorts of wands. Once he brought it back to the counter, he opened it to a dark black wand with odd spirals on the end of the wand. The swirls were a marbled type of design consisting of black, silver, and golden. On the end was a sage green crystal ball surrounded in the marbled swirls. When she lifted the wand, the ball turned into a juniper green.
"Just point it up!", he yelled.
When she did, a dark red flame of fire blew from the wand. Once she started to focus a little bit more, it calmed down and she was able to stop the fire.
"Wow, you already know how to produce Incendio. You might even be better than your brother. I mean-Ugh. Nothing just to forget about what I said. I think it's perfect for you. It's made of blackthorn and has a Rougarou hair core. It is also stiff and thirteen inches so I advise you to be very careful of who you surround yourself with Evelina. Your wand consists of attributes that dark witches and wizards have. Just please be aware."
"Um-thanks", she muttered before walking out with her new wand.
Ron's mother approached her and looked at her new wand. "Fantastic. How was it? Exciting, right? Hopefully, you're not like Harry and knock down towers of wand boxes."
"What is up with everyone comparing me and Harry?!", she yelled.
"Nothing darling. Just come along now."Molly looked down at a list than at the supplies in her arms. "Great, I think we finally got everything for your first day at Hogwarts dear. Fred, George, give the poor girl a hand. You see her struggling."
"Sorry, mum. We already have fireworks in our hands. Ask Ron, he's not doing anything", Fred laughed while threatening to hit George with one of the fireworks.
Ron rolled his eyes and grabbed the books from Evelina's arms, getting her a sense of relief. Now the only things she was left holding were her cauldron and the basic writing necessities.
They made their way back to Authur's flying car and the cramped group wiggled their way back home. The burrow was cozy with ten people sleeping in the crowded house. She shared a room with Ron, Hermione, and Harry but didn't mind because they would only be staying there till tomorrow.
...
The day quickly passed and quickly passed and before she knew it, Evelina had woken up for her first day at Hogwarts. The others already knew what to do, dress in plain clothing, pack their stuff, and go downstairs by ten o'clock but she was still so confused. Fred was kind enough to help her get her stuff in the car and they all jumped in.
