"Are you going to study hall with Umbridge now?", Blaise asked as they walked away from the Transfiguration classroom. "OWLs are coming up soon and I don't think it's optional. I'm pretty sure most of the older students are going."Eve grabbed her book bag from under the table and followed after him. "Well I suppose I don't have a choice, do I? It wouldn't hurt going either. I'm still new to all of this magic stuff and I'm sure a little bit of studying didn't hurt anyone. If anything, I have Draco to help me with my work. After all, he is one of the smartest boys of our years.""Someone called." Draco came up behind the two and put his arm over Evelina's shoulder. "Did you hear about Dumbledore's Army as well? Those stupid pricks didn't have a chance of making it through the year. Pathetic, really.""Everyone heard about Dumbledore's Army already, Draco. Did you not hear all the commotion in the Great Hall. Speaking of the Great Hall, you should come with us. You heard about study hall with Umbridge, right? If you love her and the Inquisitorial Squad so much, you would join me and Blaise. Did I mention, it's practically required. I'm honestly sick of Umbridge being Headmistress. She comes waltzing into this school and now she gets the Headmistress title after Dumbeldore disappears. Not to mention all the extra work now", nagged Evelina.The trio ran through the corridors to the entrance of the Great Hall. Instead of the large, 4 tables for each house, there sat many individual desks as if they were taking the OWLs already. In the front sat Umbridge with a large clock and a sign reading, "Please be quiet. Talking and other unwanted banter are unwelcomed. Study hall is no time to mess around and you must attend for at least an hour to avoid detention. OWLs are next week so be prepared." The three chuckled in disbelief that she had gone this far to "better the school". Every student looked miserable, some resting their heads on the desk, others rapidly jotting down notes on parchment till their hands were cramped. Before taking their seats, Fred and George walked past, their faces lighting up with joy. "I wonder what those twats are up to", Blaise whispered before Umbridge gave him a dirty look. "Bloody hell! That woman could hear me from over here." Before he could look back at his textbook, the cover slammed shut and his desk shook a bit. Blaise looked up at the Headmistress but she just smiled then turned away.Tick, tock. Tick, tock. The clock turned as everyone sat there in pure silence. Evelina swore that if you dropped your quill, you would be able to hear it from the Slytherin Common Room. There was the occasional humming from Umbridge as well as students muttering phrases under their breath. Still, no one dared to act out. When the hall got too quiet, Evelina knew something was up. Loud music rang from outside the hall and a gust of air came at the speed of light. It was Fred and George on their brooms with large fireworks. Getting distracted by the two flying, Umbridge realized that they had dropped portable swamps around her chair so she was unable to move without getting stuck. Fred stared at Eve a few seconds but quickly turned back to another Gryffindor girl while George threw another firework. "You know, George, I've always felt our futures lay outside the world of academic achievement", Fred grinned once getting his focus back."Fred, I've been thinking the same thing. Class dismissed everyone!", they both left as they flew into the sunset. Amazing fireworks were making out shapes like the dragons and the "W" for Weasley. Everyone ran out and got distracted by Fred's stare but was quickly strung away by Draco who ran out with Blaise. "Ev, what are you doing? Let's go before Umbridge goes crazy!""Right", she smiled as the three of them ran away from the madness in the courtyard. The three ran back to the Slytherin Common Room to see the rest of their friends not noticing what happened. "Did you hear what happened in the Great Hall?! I think the Weasley Twins just left Hogwarts. They just rode off of school grounds a few minutes ago!" Evelina was excited about the news but Draco looked pissed off. He stared at Eve as if she had just broken his wand. "Seriously, Evelina! Why would you bring up those redheads? It was just some stupid fireworks." Their friend group could read Draco's aggravation and jealousy through his eyes. "You're dating me, so I don't understand why you would bring up his name. He cheated on you, remember? How could you smile while talking about him? God, you're such a mess!"She bit her lip to prevent herself from crying or worse, starting an argument. Blaise thankfully covered her, "Just drop it, Draco. It's fine. Anyways... would anyone care for a game of gobblestone. I think it's best we stay here to avoid all the madness outside. I think people are losing their minds ever since Umbridge became Headmistress.""Umbridge becoming Headmistress was probably the best thing for us Slytherins. She treated us as the higher power, as we should be. She's just trying to show us how we should be treated. Not to mention that Gryffindors are being put in their place!", Draco sneered.The group looked surprised when Evelina finally spoke up about Draco's arrogance. She pulled Draco upstairs and threw him against the bed. "What the hell is wrong with you today? A second ago you were laughing, the next you were yelling at me in front of all of our friends!" Eve made sure that everyone heard slam the door. "You are being such an aggravating git right now! We've only been dating for a few weeks and you think this is ok? I've heard all about you and your family and they do not have a perfect relationship. When I said yes, I said yes to you and not your family. This outrageous behavior is not like you.""What are you trying to say?!", Draco yelled as he got up in her face.She was now against the wall and panicking for dear life. Draco was so close to her and she couldn't help but think what would happen next. When he put up his arm, Draco's face was no longer on his body-it was Mclaggen. "Don't touch me, Mclaggen. Mclaggen stop!", she screamed in terror as the night played back in her mind. "I-I'm sorry Cormac. Please don't hurt me."Evelina watched as he threatened to hurt her but when she shook her head, it was no longer Mclaggen but Draco again. Nothing that she had just seen was just a hallucination. When Draco had realized what just happened, he grabbed Evelina and pulled her closer to him. He took her over to the bed and just held her. Evelina was shaking and he felt so bad that he took off the ring from his pointer finger and grabbed her hand. "Ev, look at me. I know what happened and I just need you to breathe, ok? I'm sorry, I need you." Draco put the ring on her finger and kissed her forehead. "You'll be ok. You're so beautiful and strong."
