¦Chapter 10¦

A month had passed since the incident between Hiro and Sanemi and everything seemed fine now. (Y/n) understood what Giyuu meant when he said Sanemi was bad with words soon when whenever he tried to apologize to the girl, it always ended up in him cursing and running away. Though (Y/n) could've accepted the apology then and there, she found him funny so she didn't—she was planning to drag this out for as long as she can, or at least until she gets bored of it or he caught onto what she was doing.
"Morning (Y/n)." Her relationship with Muichirou got better and will only to continue to get better with the pace they were at. "Results come out today, don't they?"
"Ugh, don't remind me. I don't even want to think about it," she groaned, "my parents are gonna kill me when they see my report card."
It was only the start of the day but she already wished it was the end of it.
"That's what studying is for." On the contrary, her relationship with Yuichirou wasn't good at all. "Then again, you can't cure idiocy."
In fact, it may have gotten worse.
"Please jump off a cliff that has spiky rocks and rapid waters at the bottom," she told him, an annoyed smile visible on her face as she wanted to hit him but he was just out of arm's reach.
"I'd say ladies first," he replied, offering her an irked smile of his own, "but there isn't one here, so I guess you can be the replacement."
"Haha... please calm down you two." At times like this, it was so to Muichirou and Muichirou alone to defuse the situation, last time he didn't the two managed to accidentally break a window when they were throwing things at each other. Though he is concerned to learn that both his friend and his brother carry a rock in their bags for whenever they get into a serious fight.
"Tell your twin to stop calling me an idiot." She turned to him, clinging onto his shoulder as she pointed at Yuichirou like the bully he is.
"Tell your friend to stop being one." He rolled his eyes.
"There there, please stop fighting you two," he pleaded, patting the girl beside him on the head. "You wouldn't want to end up in the scarier principal's office."
"Stop flirting in school," Yuichirou said, making a sound of disgust. "I don't want to get a cavity."
"Oh, just shut up."
They didn't know when exactly it happened but the head pats just sort of became a thing between the two of them.
"Flirting?" Unlike (Y/n), who was annoyed Yuichirou even open his mouth to speak, Muichirou was flustered.
He just never thought of her that way. But then it made him realize; just what exactly did he think of her? A classmate? Obviously not. Friends? No, that wasn't the right word. Best friends? It felt a bit closer but he still felt like it wasn't the right word. A little sister? Nope nope nope, he didn't even want to think of her that way. So then, just what was the right word he was trying to think of? It was something more intimate than a best friend though, he was sure of that.
"Hey Muichirou," he was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of her voice, the person he just so happened to be thinking it. He watched as she lifted her hand and pressed the back of it against his forehead, her skin was cool to the touch.
