Chapter 9

*The Next Morning (Party Night)*

I woke up and Skylar was gone. She must've gone to her room a while ago.

I got up and went downstairs and got a bowl of cereal.

*An Hour Later*

I was watching tv and Skye finally came down.

"Morning Skye." I said still focusing on the tv.

"Morning." She mumbled, rubbing her eyes.

She got herself a bowl of cereal and then sat down next to me and watched tv.

"The party is at 6 by the way." I reminded her.

"K." She said.

*5:30*

Me and Skye pretty much just watched TV the whole day...oh well. Now it's partyyyyy time soon!

*Skyes POV*

I decided to get ready to save myself some time afterwards.

I put on my One Direction band t shirt and rolled up the sleeves. Then I grabbed a random black flannel and wrapped it around my waist incase I got cold. Then I grabbed my black skinny jeans and put those on. Finally I grabbed my new converse and put them on.

I walked out and sat on the couch and texted Mercedes. She said she might come to the party.

Then Sammy walked out in a black t-shirt, grey jeans, and his red converse.

"Ready?" He asked with his car keys in his hand.

"Mhm." I said and ran to his car and got in. And we're off to the party..

*At the Party*

We walked up to a guy at the bar.

"Yo Gilinsky! What's up man?" Sam greeted him.

"Yo! Sammy! My man! How've you been?" Gilinsky asked him.

"Pretty good!" He replied.

"And whose this beauty?" The Gilinsky guy asked Sam, making me blush.

"Oh this is my best friend, Skylar." He said looking at me.

"Nice to meet you Skylar. My name is Jack...Jack Gilinsky." He said shaking my hand.

"Nice to meet you!" I said politely.

He chuckled.

Sammy saw Nate and went to greet him.

I looked and saw Sammy was talking to Nate. They were looking at me..weird. Then they quickly turned their heads but glanced back every once in a while.

"So, you and Sammy are best friends? How long?" Jack asked me.

"Ever since we were 5." I smiled at the thought of our memories together.

"Wow." He said with a surprised look on his face.

"Yeah. We've made so many memories together." I said looking at Sam. He was laughing with Nate and he looked at me and smiled. I smiled back then looked down at my hands.

"You okay?" He said.

"Huh? Yeah, yeah. Perfect." I responded.

"Well, I've got time to hear some of those memories." Jack said smiling at me.

I laughed and we walked outside, where is was more quiet.

*1 Hour Later*

I've been telling jack about some of the incidents that have happend between me and Sam for a while now. So many laughs.

"Whew. Wow. That's a strong friendship you got there." Jack said trying to recover from all of the laughing we did.

"Yeah. I hope it never ends." I said looking at the now starry sky.

He just chuckled.

"Well I should probably go find Sam. We gotta get going." I said standing up.

"Alright Skye." He said standing up too.

Then he hugged me.

"We need to hang out soon again." I said.

"Yes we do beautiful." He said handing me his phone, so I handed him mine.

I put my number in and put my name in as "Skylar🐱". What? I love cats!

Then I handed him his phone and he gave me back mine.

"Well, have a good night Jack! See you later!" I said walking toward the party.

I walked and walked until I saw Sammy...making out with another girl...

I saw Nate standing up by the bar, on his phone.

"Hey Nate?" I asked.

"Yeah?" He said looking up from his phone.

"Can you take me home? I don't feel so good." I lied.

"Yeah sure. Wait, what about Sammy?" He asked.

"Looks like he's too busy." I said and
nodded over to him and Nate sighed.

"Alright let's go." He said and pulled out his keys from his pocket.

*In the Car*

"Sammy was drunk." Nate said out of nowhere.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"He drank like 5 beers." He said.

I scoffed and continued to look out the window.

"Hey you wanna hang with me, Jack and his other friend Jack at the Skate Park tomorrow?" He asked.

"Yeah. That'll be fun." I said.

Then we arrived at my house.

"Goodnight Skylar. See you tomorrow." Nate said and hugged me.

I hugged him back and said goodnight.

I unlocked my front door, walked upstairs and changed into pajamas.

Then I laid down on my bed and went on my phone.

Suddenly I received a text from Mercedes.

From: Sadesss🐼

Hey. Sorry I couldn't make it to the party :/ I forgot it was movie night with Xavier... I really am sorry. Hope we get to hang out soon!

Then I texted her back.

To: Sadesss🐼

Hey! It's okay :) hope to hang soon Sade's! Love ya! ❤️

From: Sadesss🐼

Love ya too! Thanks for understanding! ❤️☺️

Then I locked my phone and tried to fall asleep.

A couple minutes later, I heard the front door open.

I heard mumbling downstairs.

So I grabbed my baseball bat and slowly crept down the stairs.

"Seriously?!" I yelled putting down my bat.

It was Sammy..and that girl from the party.
