Chapter 30

"Would you like to know the genders?"

"Wait...gender-s?" I ask in hesitance.

"Oh, yes. You're having twins!"

Shawn and I get excited, I've always wanted twins!

"Sure!" I look at Shawn in assurance.

"It looks like you're having..." the doctor looks back at the screen just to double check, "a boy and a girl! Congratulations!"

I notice shawns eyes start to water as he gets excited with me.

"We're having a boy and a girl, Shawn!!"

"I can't believe it!" He replies with tears of joy.

I was truly happy. I wanted to have a girl and boy my whole life, and now they're twins??? Even better!

*That Same Night*

As me and Shawn sit on the couch, we both watch my phone screen as I scroll through baby names.

"Id like them to start with an 'S'," I tell him.

He thinks for a moment, "Skyler, Shawn, and Sam?"

I nod with a smile. They might as well be apart of the 'S' club!

"Steve, Spencer, Seth..." I go through names with a boring sound.

Shawn stops my scrolling, "what about Simon?"

"Simon," I say just to hear it.

"Yeah,"

"I like it," I smile at him.

"I'm glad," he smiles at me and then starts to lean in.

The front door suddenly swooshes open, "We're here, bitches!"

Me and Shawn suddenly look away from each other. ...so close.

Gilinsky, Johnson, Sam and Maloley all walk in with champagne bottles in hand, Sam with a water bottle.

"Hey guys," I smile at them.

"Hey!" Johnson greets and leans down to give me a quick hug.

"We brought champagne to celebrate the discovery of the gender. Sorry, baby mama. You can't have any," Gilinsky does a fake pout.

I roll my eyes in response as they all take off their jackets and take a seat.

"You look great for a pregnant woman, Sky!" Nate comments.

"Gee, thanks Nate," I laugh.

"What? You have that healthy glow! Everything's gonna be perfect, I know it,"

I laugh at him as I look over at Sam and he gives me a small smile in return.

He's eased his way off the drugs and alcohol and it's truly made him so much better. He seems happy.

"So, what's it's gender, Sky?" Sam asks.

I glance at Shawn, "don't get too excited but, we're having twins! A boy and a girl!"

Gilinsky stands up to do a victory dance, "YES!"

Johnson, Nate and Sam all cheer and laugh as they receive the news.

Finally, as they start to calm down, questions flood in.

"So, have any name ideas?" Sam asks.

"Well, for a boy we were thinking Simon," Shawn says.

Johnson replies with, "dude yes! I actually like that name!"

"Any girl ideas?" Nate asks.

"Nope, we were hoping you guys would help since you'll be protecting her from all of the boys," I laugh.

They all laugh except for Sam, who seems to be in deep thought.

The rest of them start to chat while Sam interrupts, "they're gonna be born in September, right?"

"That's the due date, yes," I reply.

"What if you named her, September? It's a name," he comments.

I think about it...September. Huh. Kind of creative.

"I like it," I blurt and give Shawn a look, he seems to like it.

"September and Simon, it is!" I cheer and the room burst into cheer as well.

And the sound of a champagne bottle pops.
