Chapter 22

Today is the day Sam leaves...
I need to call Kenny and tell him ill meet him a little later.

I quickly slip on my skinny jeans and black columbia sweatshirt, with my white vans.

I quickly lock my dorm room and i run out to the parking lot and start my car.

I start to back out and head for the airport.

As soon as I get there, I run in and try to find Sam and Nate.

I spot a dumb kid with a snapback and sun glasses on and I walk up behind him.

"Sunglasses inside? Really?" I say and nudge him.

He turns around and looks at me.

"Oh, I should've known it was you. Makin' those smart ass comments." he says and laughs. I laugh and hug him.

"Saaaaaaammmmm." I whine.

"Whaaaaat." He responds.

"Why do you have to leave meeee?" I ask.

"Because, i dont like you. So im going away." He says seriously.

I stare at him with a glare.

"KIDDING. Kidding." He says putting his hands up.

"Mmhm." I say and he shakes his head.

"So, wheres nate?" I ask.

"Um, bathroom?" He says more like a question.

"Why are you saying it like you dont actually know where he is?" I ask quickly.

"Cause. I DONT know where he is. I had my earbuds in when he was talking to me." He says truthfully.

"My god sam." I say and sigh.

All of a sudden i hear a "Out of the way! Excuse me!" In the distance of the airport.

Suddenly, i see Nate on his longboard, headed our way with airport police following behind.

"Holy." I say.

"Shit." Sam finishes, taking off his glasses.

He zooms past us finally.

"I gotta go, Skye." Sam says with a sad look.

"Dammit. I knew this was coming." I say.

He laughs and hugs me again.

Once we pull back he cups my face with his hands and kisses me forcefully.

Ho. Ly. Crap. I was NOT expecting THAT.

Finally, we pull away.

"Go get your idiot of a friend. Have fun, loser." I smirk.

"Hey, hes your friend too. I will, and you too." He says and kisses me quick and runs after nate.

"NATE!" He yells.

"Goodbye, Sam. I love you." I whisper.

I stand in the same spot for a while, then finally i back away and go to the parking lot.

I get in my car and go home.

As soon as i get there, i text Kenny.

To: Ken 💖
Hey. Do you think we could hang out tomorrow instead? Sorry, i have stuff goin' on :/

From: Ken 💖
Hey! Yeah! That's totally fine! See you tomorrow then, Skylar:)

Whew.

Now, i think im gonna text Mercedes.

Hey sades! Wanna hang? I really need you, we havent had a girls night for a while! :/

Hey! Yeah sure! Be there in 5:)

I set down my phone and wait.

She finally arrives and she sits down next to me.

I tell her about the incident at the airport.

After that, we decide to watch horror movies and eat popcorn. Let me tell you, they are so much better than chick flicks.

Hours later, we drift to sleep.
