Chapter 17

As i drive home, i go over the things that went on tonight, in my head.

As i drive into my driveway i see, Sam. He is sitting against my house. What now?

I walk up to him.

"Skye." He says and sniffles.

"What." I say and he stands up.

"Im sorry." He says.

"You cant just say sorry all the time and think im gonna forgive you." I say softly.

"I know." He says and looks down.

I sigh.

"But, i dont understand why your mad. Its in the past now." He says.

"Im mad because you lied to me. A while back, you said you didnt. But, you did. And i trusted you." I say to him.

He nods.

"Alright, im sorry. And i-i understand if you dont want to give me another chance.." He says and looks down a little bit.

I nod.

"Alright, goodnight Skylar." He says and i already feel guilty but, this is what he gets for lying.

"Goodnight Sam." I say and walk to my house.

"Wait." Sam pulls my wrist.

I turn around and look at him.

"What does this mean? What are we now?" He asks sadly.

"I-i guess we are seeing other people now. It means we are done." I say and feel my eyes starting to water.

"No. No skye, please." He says and a tear falls down his face.

"Im sorry." I say and pull my wrist away.

I walk inside my house and go upstairs and change and then i go to bed.

"Way to end prom." I say to myself.

*3 Years Later*

I am now going to college at an awesome place, but still in Omaha just in a different part of it. Far from home.

The boys are still back home, along with mercedes and sam.

I hear Sam has been good! Hes with a girl now, i think.

Mercedes and Xavier are still going strong and thinking about getting married, since we are adults now!

Alison and Gilinsky are good! And so are Laura and Jack, i hear!

But the most exciting thing is, i get to go home to them all tonight!

"Hey gurl!" My friend, Savannah greets me.

"Hey Savannah!" I say.

"So, you got that big trip home huh?" She asks.

"Mmhm, a little scared to be honest." I say.

"Dont be! They're your friends! You know, ever since you were little." She replies with a small smile.

"Yeah. Well, see you in a month! Also, have a good spring break!" I say and walk to my dorm.

"You too! Love ya!" She says and goes to hers as well.

I laugh and start packing my stuff.

At around 6, i finish packing and head home finally!

*2 Hours Later*

Im finally here and its only 8. Wow, finally back home.

I slowly open the door and set my stuff down.

I go to my arcade room and sit down.

"Man, does it feel good to be home." I say quietly.

I bring out my phone and make a text messaging group.

To: Gilinsky🎤, Johnson🎹, Nate💰, Sades 🐴, and Sam ✌️.

Hey guys, i know its been a while. But, im home. :)

From: Gilinsky 🎤

We will be there in 5! Ive missed you beautiful! ❤️

To: Gilinsky🎤, Johnson🎹, Nate💰, Sades 🐴, and Sam ✌️.

Alright! See you soon! Ive missed you also! ❤️

I lock my phone and as soon as i do, i get up and grab an arizona from my fridge.

As i drink it, i see the front door open and Gilinsky looks around and i set down my arizona.

"Long time no see, boy." I say and run and hug him.

"Oh, how i missed you!" He says and squeezes me.

"I missed you too!" I say.

He pulls back and kisses me on the cheek.

"Johnson!" I say and jump into his arms.

He laughs and lets me go.

I then hug Mercedes and Nate and then the last one...Sam.

"Skylar." He says.

"Sam. How've you been?" I say and hug him lightly.

"Fine, i guess. And you?" He asks and pulls back.

"Fine. So, I heard you've got a girlfriend?" I ask. Stupid, stupid question...

"No, not really. Not since you left." He says and looks away.

"Oh." I say.

"We are gonna go in the arcade room, Skye!" Gilinsky says and leaves the room with the others.

I nod and turn back to Sam.

As soon as i do, his lips are crashed onto mine.

I am shocked by his actions but we are not together anymore.

I pull back but not from his grip.

"We arent together anymore, Sam." I say quietly.

"Yeah. Yeah, im sorry." He says and looks down once again.

I hate seeing him this way.

I lift his chin.

"What will make you better, just for tonight?" I ask.

"I need to know, if you still have feelings for me. If theres still a chance! For us." He says quietly.

"I-Sam, i-" i start to say.

"Please." He says.

"I-i do. I do still have feelings for you, but the chances are low. You cheated on me multiple times, Sam. And, i have a boyfriend." I say.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that, i have a boyfriend now. Hes from my college and his name is Levi.

"I know. But i think i have improved! I can be better. I could show you! But..i cant because, you have a boyfriend!" He says.

"Yeah..." I say.

"I wish you were mine, again." He says quietly.

I then quickly go to the arcade room and chat with the others.

There might still be a chance for me and Sam. But they are quite low, my friend
