Chapter 26

"Alright, im goin to work. Bye Skye." Shawn says and kisses my forehead.

"Okay, bye Shawn." I say and hug him.

He leaves, then i go to my room to get dressed.

I put on a black and white striped shirt with high waisted, washed shorts. Then of course, my original high top converse.

I leave my hair in loose waves, then put on a little mascara.

I grab my phone and wallet, then leave.

I head to the mall to get a new phone.

"Thank you." I say and grab my phone.

I open my phone and see i have a message.

I click the messages and look at the message.

From: Sam

Hey. Can you meet me at the coffee shop at the mall? Please? I want to talk to you.

To: Sam

Fine. Im not staying long though.

I lock my phone and put it in my pocket.

I walk to the coffee shop and sit down at a booth.

"Hello. Im Mary. Would you like a coffee to start off with?"

"Hi, uh yes please." I reply with a small smile.

I look back at my phone to see another message.

From: Sam

Okay. Thank you.

To: Sam

Mmhm..

A couple minutes later, the waitress comes back with a coffee.

"Thank you, Mary." I say with with a smile.

"No problem. Anything else?" She replies with a smile back.

She seems nice, shes around my age.

"Uh, another coffee? My friend is coming." I nervously laugh.

She laughs at me and then replies.

"Of course, ill be back."

I hear footsteps behind me, then i see Sam sit down in front of me.

"Hey."

"Uh, hey. So why'd you wanna meet?"

"I just wanted to let you know in person, that i'm really sorry."

Forgive and forget. Forgive and forget. I really got to work on that.

"Its okay, Sam." I say with a smile.

He lets out a breath.

"Whew."

"So, how are you?"

"I'm actually pretty good. You? How are you and Shawn?"

"Uh, im good. And me and Shawn are also doin' good. Have you found any lady friends since you've been back?"

"Oh cool! That's good! Now that you mention it, I have. I met one at the party, she's really cool...and cute."

I laugh.

"That's awesome Sam!"

"I guess so." He laughs.

"So, whats her name?"

The waitress comes back and sets the coffee down in front of Sam. Then she leans down, grabs his face, then full on kisses him.
