Putting on her coat over the uniform, she was preparing to leave the office for the day. Despite everything, soon after Kya had left, she had been swamped with more work due to another arrest. Looking over at the clock, it read 11:40 pm, "Great," She mumbled now Kya would be even more upset at her over the fact that she did end up staying late.

Turning the key into the apartment, Lin opened the door expecting Kya to be waiting for her in the living room. When she noticed the living room was empty, she allowed her stiff shoulders to relax for a second. Only when she looked across and saw the light coming out from underneath the bedroom door did she tense up once again

Taking off her coat and placing it on the hanger, she bent her armor off, leaving it neatly; piled up at the door entrance.

Walking over to the kitchen, she opened the cabinet below the sink; effectively pulling out a random bottle of alcohol and taking off the top, she took a swing.

"Well, not only did you finally decide to come home, but now you're getting drunk." pushing herself off the wall she had been leaning on, Kya walked over to Lin.

Rolling her eyes, Lin held the bottle in her hand, "I wasn't trying to get drunk." She replied with slight annoyance.

"Alright, then why were you late?" she asked with an irritated looking beginning to cross her features.

"I got held up with some paperwork due to a late arrest, that's all." Stated Lin simply as she sat down the bottle.

"Guess I'm not the only irresponsible one," replied Kya with a passive-aggressive tone while she leaned against the counter near her girlfriend.

"Please tell me we aren't still on this," questioned Lin as annoyance overtook her voice.

"On what, dear?" Kya questioned with a mockingly clueless look.

Allowing the frustration to take over, "We get it, your mad because I called you irresponsible over getting plastered with Bumi and wrecking a fruit stand; do I have to continue spelling it out for you?"

"You're a bitch." responded Kya with a completely neutral look.

Taking a shallow breath and recovering quickly from the shock, "No, I'm not, your just mad that I called you out; I understand that but take some responsibility and get over it." said Lin closing the bottle and placing it back in the cabinet. Walking past Kya, she stopped at the doorway, "I know you didn't mean to cause damage, but you need to hold yourself responsible for the inconvenience you caused to the owner of the property you damaged and the bystanders,"

Looking down at the floor, "Your right; I was being stupid and wasn't thinking I shouldn't have allowed it to get that far. I shouldn't have been drinking. I take responsibility for my actions; it could've ended up being worse; I'm sorry." responded Kya before Lin could walk out the door.

Walking over to where Lin stood at the door, Kya placed her hand into Lins, "I love you, I'm sorry I called you that."

Turning around, Lin pulled Kya into a comforting hug, "I know, I love you too."
