"I can breathe!" I cried. I think I was going to hyperventilate at one point. "And I can talk!" Asher swam towards me with Piper behind him.

"I know, it's amazing," He said quietly. We then gazed over to Piper who was trying to frolic and hum under water around us. Me and Asher just laughed.

Soon, while travelling to DarkWater Cave, we could see the sun setting under the surface of the water. All the underwater creatures had swum to their tiny homes in large rocks. I yawned, and swam to the bottom of the lake. The blanket of sand was soft, like the moss with morning dew on it near my home. I suddenly felt sick. I wonder what my mother is thinking. What she might think when I come home after this journey.

"Goodnight, Nyla!" Piper chirped. I snapped out of my trance.

"Goodnight," I reply. Then, I drown myself in my own thinking before I fall asleep.

...

I am running. I am running towards my home. My mother, stands at the door. Smiling. As I get close to her, she slowly stops smiling and looks bigger. I think it's just my eyes. By now, I'm right up to her. A shiver runs through my spine as my own mother turns into Blake. I try to run back but he gets bigger. And bigger. He hovers over me, and snarls a snarl so loud. Drool from his lip falls on top of my head. I scream, but nothing will come out.

"Nyla...Nyla, Nyla..." Blake hisses. I'm trying to move, but nothing is happening. Soon, my eyes come to seeing Piper over me, looking concerned.

"Nyla! Wake up!" She cried.

"What happened?" My voice is hoarse. Tiny bubbles come out of my muzzle and float up to the top of the lake.

"You were screaming, 'Help me, oh help me!'" Piper mimicked me.

Phew. It was just a dream. Nothing else.

"You sounded like a dying frog." Piper added and snickered quietly.

"Piper..." Asher glared at her. I could see Piper lower her head to show guilt.

"Hey, look!" Piper suddenly said. We all look in the direction she's looking at. Piper picks up the object with her mouth. It looks blue and a hint of purple...

"Is that what I think it is?" Asher eyed the object before snatching it out of Piper's mouth without warning. "It's one of the Aqua Wolf's feathers...great job Piper!"

Piper stuck out her chest to make us think that she is one of those super wolves. I cock my head over to the right.

"There is another one over here," I say suspiciously.

"And another one." Asher picks up one more feather nearby. "We should follow these. It will lead us to the cave."

Me and Piper nod our heads.

Being underwater is amazing. I never thought it would be like this. Like ever. Big fishes, small fishes, sharks and all. Wait, SHARKS!? I burst out in a panic as the huge fish swam towards me. Bubbles were everywhere. Piper and Asher turn around quickly.

"Move!" Asher mouths to me as he pushes me into a big patch of seaweed nearby. Piper finds a rock to hide behind, obviously there is a hole underneath, because she just disappeared.

He shoves my body in, then his own. He tells me to be quiet and to not move. I do as he says.

Me and my friends watch in horror as the shark swam in circles above us for hours. And hours. The shark knew we were out there somewhere...it could smell our wolf blood.

Out of nowhere, a piece of seaweed brushed softly against my nose. I wriggle my nose, and sneeze.

Oops.

The shark stopped circling, and looked over to me and Asher's area with its beady black eyes.

Asher face palms.

The shark swam by the seaweed a couple times, and took a whiff of the sand I had walked in. It looked over at my seaweed pile and swam over to it, slowly.

I shut my eyes tightly while Asher hugged me. He squeezed me so hard, I think my eyes could've leaked out of my sockets.

This is just a dream. I'll wake up...I'll wake up...

I could hear the shark swimming closer.

Crack!

I open my eyes. The shark looks over to the direction the noise was, and swims over to it.

I look over to Piper signalling me to follow her. Me and Asher follow her to another large rock nearby.

"Phew. What happened?" I ask.

"I planned to throw a tiny pebble over to the other huge rock beside you." She grins and nods her head.

"Thanks, Piper," I say.

"Yeah, thanks," Asher added.

"Now we should go before fish sticks comes back!" Piper exclaimed.

And we went bouncing away, laughing.

...

After swimming away from that shark, we found the trail of blue feathers again.

I must have been paying attention to the ground way too much because my head bumped into another rock.

"Gah!" I shout. All the fishes swam away. "Grr...huh?" I look up.

"A cave! A cave! I think we found it guys!" I can see now the fishes are eyeing me.

Piper stares at me in awe.

"Told you so." I grinned. "Let's go," I say as I walk forward into the cave.

Asher stops me. "I think it's best that you go yourself. It's your adventure, not mine. You have to enjoy it." He swims up to me and kisses my furry cheek.

I feel my face go red instantly. When he turns around, I chuckle quietly. I see more bubbles come up from my mouth.

"Well, let's go Piper," I say when I regain consciousness.

"You know he's right, it's your adventure. I don't want to interfere or anything..." Piper fumbles her paws. "But thank you. Thank you for taking me on this journey. I'm not so timid and afraid, thanks to you." Piper smiles.

I smile back, and hug the two. I haven't had this feeling in a long time.

"You guys are such good friends." I shut my eyes tighter, and squeeze them harder.

"Uh, Nyla, can't breath here," says muffled Piper.

"Oh! Sorry," I say. "I'm off." I leave the two and head into the dark cave.

"Goodbye! We will be waiting here!" I hear both of their voices bounce of the walls of the cave.

The cave went deeper, and got darker. Soon, I couldn't see a thing. I had to use my paws to figure out where I am. And then I saw a bright light. Then two.

The dark cave walls turned blue, and shined brighter than the moon it felt like.

Neon green seaweed covered the ground.

The bright light blinded me as I got closer. It stung and burned. I could only see a faint silhouette.

I gasped.

I'm looking straight at the Aqua Wolf.
