Me and Asher have been walking for days now and we are still getting nowhere. One time we ended up back at the cave we rested at, and all of a sudden we were back at the bottom of the mountain, and came back to the same tree twice that we walked by. I was starting to get a little agitated. "Asher!" I yell, "I thought you knew where DarkWater Cave was!"

"I do know.. I'm just kinda lost right now.." He replied looking about. Right after Asher had said that, I got really dizzy and felt that I was going to collapse. "Whoa, Nyla? Are you alright? You suddenly look pale.." He asked.

All I see are distorted images of my leg, but I know for sure I have lost a lot of blood from that bite.

"I'm fine. Just need to sit down.." I said annoyed still about the situation.

Asher sat with me, "Alright." We had sat there awkwardly for a few minutes until, "I don't actually know where DarkWater Cave is.." Asher blurted.

"Wha- what do you mean?!" I was just at the point of blowing my top.

"Well, I knew where the direction was to getting there, but I can't figure out what spot. Also, it was dangerous getting there, and I didn't want you to go alone! I have heard a few stories of wolves getting their flesh and bodies ripped apart by the beast who somehow is close to the cave." I never knew that.

"You should have told me that earlier!" I had said, "We can go around the beast." I got off the ground.

"No, don't go! What if something happens?" He said.

"If you are going to hold me back on this journey, then don't even bother to come." I snarled. When I said those words, I immediately regretted them, but I kept moving on. Not looking back. Knowing that I would only see the sadness on his face. I know that I can can find the Aqua Wolf by myself, soon enough.

After hours of walking straight up the mountain, a snowstorm came along. It was so cold. Not like back at home. The left over blood that was on my leg froze solid, my fur was covered in snow, and my eye lids, could not barely open wider than five millimetres. Unfortunately, my body could no longer stand this cold weather anymore. I gently lie down in the soft snow.

"Asher.." I say quietly as I shut my eyes. I wish he was here. I wish I hadn't said those words. That's when I blacked out.

...

As I wake up, I noticed that the snowstorm had blew over. The snow was sparkling in the morning sun. I get up, and shake the frozen snow off me.

Hm. I should just keep heading straight.

And I had done so. Once again, I was walking around for hours and hours.

"Ah! Someone help me!" I hear out of the blue. I run about trying to hear where that noise had come from.

"Help!" This time after the voice had yelled, there was a loud growl. I finally knew where the call for help was. I run until I am on top of a hill.

I rub my eyes to see if I'm not hallucinating again.. Do I really see Piper curled up in the corner of a nearby mountain?

"Someone please!" Nope. I'm not hallucinating.

As I scramble down the mountain to get to her, I almost fell down a deep hole. I couldn't worry about it because my friend was in trouble. When I got near her I said, "Piper, why are you here!? What's wrong?" I say firmly.

Piper had fear on her face as she stuttered, "N-Nyla.. L-look.." I turned around to be facing a huge mountain lion. It was bigger than normal.

"Oh, no.." I said to barely a whisper as I back away from it.

Wait. Asher had said that there was a beast who was close to the Aqua Wolf's cave. Maybe this is the beast!

The large cat had growled at me as I cover Piper. I showed my teeth and snarled back. Oi, this cats breath was nasty!

The cat quickly swapped me, and I hit the wall of the nearby mountain. Snow at the top of the mountain fell on top of me. This mountain lion is stronger than I thought. I get up and bite the cats front leg. It had roared in pain. But it had shook me off easily.

"Piper!" I yell, "Help me!" She only stayed in her curled up position. "Oh come on!" I had yelled again. The cat swapped at me again, but I dodged it this time. I look back at Piper's spot, and she was gone. I look around frantically while avoiding the cats swaps.

Then I see her.

Piper was biting and pulling the cats hind leg while murmuring mean words. I have never seen Piper do anything like this before. She is usually timid and shy.

It seemed like the cat was distracted by Piper, so I jumped up onto the cats back, and bit its ear leaving red bloody marks. I jump off of its back before it could hit me again.

Right after I bit the cats ear, it had got distracted by Piper again and kicked her in the face leaving her unconscious.

"Piper!" I scream. I was just about to give up hope when I remembered the huge hole I almost fell in. Ah ha.

I run past the cat luring it near the hole, and at the perfect time, maybe I can push it into it.

The cat tried hitting me a few times, but I dodged them until it took its claws and almost stabbed me with them.

The knock back got me winded. I couldn't see, I couldn't hear, and I couldn't breathe properly. I see white and only hear distorted noises of the growls that the cat made. I thought this was the end.

Then I see images of a wolf jumping onto the cats back and pulling it into the hole. I try getting up and crawling near the hole to see what's happening. The wolf got pulled down with it, but caught onto the edge just in the nick of time. By now I am at the other edge of the hole looking down at the cat. It landed on its back, and got up quickly trying to get out of the hole. Luckily it was deep enough. The cat growled and snarled at us.

Finally, my vision, and hearing came back. I took one glimpse of the wolf and I knew who it was and yelled, "Asher!" He backed up a little, "I am so glad to see you!" I hugged him, "Thank you so much.. And I'm really sorry for what I said-" I hesitated while my eyes fill with tears.

"It's fine Nyla, you're safe now," He hugged me, and wiped away the tears streaming down my face.

We walked over to Piper when she was coming to.

"Who's this?" Asked Asher.

"My best friend Piper," I answer.

"Ugh.. That was a horrible dream," Piper said and looked around.

"That wasn't a dream," I say with a laugh.

"Oh." Piper started to look pale again.

"Why are you even here?" I asked.

"Your mother and all the other wolves got real worried and wondered where you are. I told them that you went to go to the Aqua Wolf. Nobody volunteered to go search for you, but I did." Piper smiled and pushed her bangs out of her face.

"Why, thank you Piper," I say. "You really didn't have to do that, but I'm thankful you're here." I smiled and hugged her.

"And who's this wolf? You know him?" Piper whispered as I was still hugging her.

"His name is Asher. I met him along the way," I answer.

"He's super cute!" She said loud enough that Asher looked at us and tilted his head in confusion.

"Shut your muzzle," I say as my cheeks flush. Piper agreed to come with us to find the Aqua Wolf. Then I walk up the mountain with the two of them. This time, nothing can stop us now.
