All of Blake's comrades noticed his mate's death. They felt vulnerable without having another leader. Now, they don't see any point. One of them howled, and then another. And then another. And soon, all of them fled out of our territory.

It was suddenly all quiet. Or, was it just my ears? I felt numb by the fact my one and only mother had been thrown and...

I don't want to think of it.

I lower my head down to her abdomen, and nudge it the slightest. No movement. Tears welled up in the corner of my eyes whilst all of my packmates returned. There wasn't many of them at all...most of them laid motionless on the ground. My two friends came up from behind me, dipping their heads in respect and sadness.

I then dipped my head as tears rolled down my muzzle. This cannot be happening...it was so happy, until Blake's pack raided our area. I didn't exactly mean to hurt Blake at all, but he was a very vicious wolf and there was no choice but to do what I had to do.

I let my thoughts get carried away until Asher stepped forward, nudging my body. I only looked at him with sad eyes until I buried my head into his side. He rested his head on top of mine before we heard some gasps from behind us.

Almost all of them said quietly "It's the Aqua Wolf", and many more whispers about the odd looking 'wolf'.

I shot my head over and there was the legendary Aqua Wolf standing a few feet away from me.

Valeska saved my life. I was about to thank her before she looked at all the other wolves dead bodies. Her eyes narrowed and she stepped forward to my mother.

"What-" you got cut off whilst watching Vakeska put a paw on my mother's head. She made a humming noise that filled the quiet atmosphere, and all my packmate's watch with awe.

"What is she doing?" Asher whispered in my ear, and I could tell that Piper, now standing beside me also wanted to know.

"I...really don't know," I'd say weakly. Maybe she was just sending respect to my deceased mother.

After a few moment of grieving and humming, we all heard soft coughing noises. Valeska backed away from my mother's body, and there she was, body once again illuminated with life.

I was so overjoyed that I trotted towards her and gave her a firm hug. She also did the same while laughing. I then felt some warmth overwhelm my body, and I realized that the rest of the pack came to jump in the 'hug' pile. I was so happy and crammed by other wolves, but then I looked towards Valeska.

She also had a slight smile on her face, and with a quick look to all the other deceased wolves, they all came to life as well.

I had totally forgotten that the Aqua Wolf had healing abilities. With one quick thought, I leaped out of the pile and towards her glowing body. "I just want to say thank you. For everything, Valeska," I said whilst grinning.

She gave a quiet chuckle. "Anytime, Nyla. But I mustn't stay any longer...I need to be in water to keep me alive," she said, barely audible to the ears.

You dipped your head. "It's alright. I understand, now. I won't force you to live in the park if you don't want to. But you have to visit!" I exclaimed, now all of the wolves watching us communicate.

Valeska gave me one more warm smile, before she disappeared within the trees in front of us.

"I'm going to miss her," Piper said to me as I turned around.

"Yeah? Me too," I gave a wry smile to Piper and Asher before heading over to the pack to celebrate the lives that came back to us.

I took one glance back towards the trees she headed in. I couldn't believe I proved the legend to be real. The journey, meeting Asher, everything.

My life was boring. No excitement, and as a wolf who needs adventure, it sucked. But now, I know what the world looks like beyond the park. I couldn't be more satisfied in the end. Including everybody else...

I won't forget her, and I'm pretty sure that our future generations wouldn't forget about her legend as well.
