Today was the day of the audition. I was just staring at the ceiling all morning. I was too scared to get up. I felt a huge pressure on my chest. I've never felt this way when I go to an audition.
I had been memorizing my lines since London. I had everything ready but myself. I mean today is going to be a life changing experience whether I get the role or not. I read through my characters personality on the script. I related to her so much. Except she was raised by her father rather than her mother. Her mother died when she was 4. Her father is the wealthiest on the planet, which I'm also not. But Nala is brave, sassy, sarcastic, and is completely misunderstood.
I slowly lift myself off of bed. Maya wasn't anywhere in the room. I sigh and get up and head to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and brush my teeth. (But not my hair. Ruel reference. If u get this, I love you)
I look through my closet and pick out an outfit.

I didn't want to be too overdressed or underdressed so this outfit was perfect. (Tip: never wear flashy colors to an audition. No matter if it's a self tape or an in person audition)
As soon as I sat back on the bed about the text my uber, maya came bursting through the door with a bag in her hand. "Why are you sweating?" I ask as maya is panting. "Bagels..I got us..bagels" maya says out of breath. I just get up and hug her. "You're truly the greatest person I've ever met" I say pulling away. "Obviously" maya says.
"Ma I'm really sorry but I don't have time to sit and eat with you" I say grabbing my bag. "Oh dont worry I'm going with you." Maya says picking up with bagel bag.
"Wait seriously?" I ask. "This is a star wars audition! Can you imagine how many celebrities are gonna be there?" Maya says. "Not that many I assume" I say shrugging. "Ugh you're so close minded willow!" Maya says walking over to the door and opening it to leave. "Well...let's go!" Maya says shooing me out of the room.
I laugh at her gesture. Maya and I leave the room, walk through the lobby, and the uber was already waiting for us outside.
We both get in. I had my headshot and resume in my hand. "Where to ladies" the driver asks. I tell him the adress of where the audition was taking place but I didnt tell him it was an audition.
We began driving. I looked out the window. "Do you girls mind if I play some music? It helps with the stress" the driver asks. "What stress? What's going on" maya asks. "Well..I've heard about you two. You're like..celebrities now ha. It's kinda stressful when I'm driving celebrities to a star wars audition" the driver says.
"How do you know we're going to a star wars audition?" I ask. "Oh I just dropped off another celebrity at the same location." He says. "Who?" Maya asks. "Oh well now that's a secret" he driver says chuckling.
I slightly chuckle as well. The drive was quick. Before I knew it, we were already at our location. "Thank you" I say as me and maya get out the car. I was about to pay him then he stopped me.
