In my pain, they were hard to find
Through the fog inside my grieving mind
The first four are my children
Plus his kids make 8
Then two more, adopted later
And now we're up to ten
And I didn't even include all of them
'Cause two are up in Heaven with him
11 through 14 add my grandkids in
Leon, Alexis, Cyrus and Quinn
And number 15, but also number 1
Is the one I love,
who hung the moon and brought back the sun
And I worship the ground that he walks on
Then there's Terri and Travis and Ryan and Steve
And we're up to 19 - hard to believe
My sister, Tiffany is next
And then my Dad, who is the best
Writing is at 22
If I didn't have that, I'd be all through
And 23, the only reason--in the beginning, and for a very long time--
I promised that "Old Man" of mine.
A/N: And there they are. My 23 reasons I'm still alive.
