Uptown Girl.
27th of December, 2011.
Apartment 8, Kensington Palace - Princess Coraline's Residence.
She'd been burying herself in work for over a month, her only break she allowed was during her 6 days at Sandringham to celebrate Christmas. Matthew had decided to fly over a few days early so that they'd be able to catch an afternoon flight to New York on the 30th, allowing them to spend new year's cuddled up together in their own home.
It was that time again where Coraline, Victoria, Keira, Chelsy, Rory and Karen had finally been able to assemble for one of their iconic breakfasts, an array of foods on the princess' dining table as they discussed the hottest topic - David's wedding. "You know what," Karen started, fed up. "just go to the wedding. He wants you there, you have no reason to go."
"You can take Matthew." Victoria added.
Chelsy jumped in her own seat at what she thought was a marvelous idea. "And wear the dress."
Coraline scoffed, cutting into her breakfast at a rapid pace. "I'm not going to wear the dress. And I'll be busy anyways."
Rory groaned at her friend's attitude. "You're already packed for New York. By the time the wedding is over, you leave to the airport and get on your flight."
"I don't know, I'll think it through and ask Matthew."
"Ask Matthew what?" The actor's voice rung out throughout the flat as he entered the dining area. He instantly bent down to kiss his girlfriend's cheek, catching her lips instead. "Sorry, went to buy some groceries. What was that?" Matthew gestured to the full brown bags by the entrance.
Karen grinned. "My brothers getting married in a few days, why don't you and Cora go together?"
He furrowed his eyebrows, smile still present. "Cora's ex, David?" They all nodded, relieved when he shrugged. "Sure, I don't mind. Whatever you want to do, babe."
They all, but one, let out their own cheers of excitement as Coraline's lips formed a tight smile. Chelsy tirelessly nudged her with a smirk. "You have to do it. You have to."
"Fine, I'll wear the damn dress."

Gown worn by Princess Coraline to the wedding of David Tennant circa. 2011
(Illustration is of the model, not the princess.)After agreeing to wear 'the' dress, Coraline couldn't help but feel insecure as she tightened her grip on Matthew's arm, her free one looped around his. She gazed at the decoration the to-be-wedded had chosen, the elegant flowers and bright light. "They've done it nicely since I last saw it." She mumbled.
