Tiaras and Oxytocin.

20th of June, 2010.

Los Angeles - Matthew Gray Gubler's Residence.

Coraline was up bright and early two days into her stay at the 'Haunted tree house'. She'd acquired one of the guest bedrooms, intrigued at the little trinkets and personalization littered across the room. She loved it.

Walking downstairs to the sound of frying and gentle humming, Matthew rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He lingered near the staircase, barely able to see the princess in her natural state. Natural. No makeup, hair, fancy dresses or tiaras. She was bare and in a way, vulnerable. He loved it.

He finally worked up the unnecessary courage to approach her in his own house, his morning voice peeking through when he greeted her. "Morning."

"Good morning." The British accent she flaunted unknowingly was like music to his ears, softly serenading him. "I'm making eggs and guessing where you keep everything. I didn't want to wake you." She presented him with a plate full of eggs and toast, along with a cup of coffee.

It was odd, really. One night, Matthew had googled where she lived and joined her for dinner. This morning, Coraline had googled where he lived (with some extensive research) and joined him for breakfast. "Thank you."

She nodded, wrapping her hands around her own mug.

"I was wondering-"

"What would you-" They burst into a fit of giggles at their slight mishap, both of them preparing to speak again until her phone buzzed.

Coraline furrowed her eyebrows. Everyone understood she was away, respectfully keeping their distance and choosing not to hound her with messages and calls.

From Harry to Cora:
Balmoral trip has been moved from July to October. Too many people off on engagements, everyone's free during October, including you.
I'll see you when you get back. Love you.

"Anything wrong?" Matthew questioned, her head snapping towards him as she put her phone away.

She shook her head, a tight lipped smile on her lips. "Nothing." He nodded, not wanting to overstep boundaries. "So, what are our plans for today?"

"So I was thinking, since you basically come from the land of Hogwarts,"

"Hogwarts is in Scotland, I'm from London." She corrected lightheartedly, grinning when he waved her off.

"Same thing. I thought I could take you back to your land, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter." He exaggerated, a dreamy expression on his face as he looked into the distance, his arms spread out for dramatic effect. "Unless you don't want to." His demeanor shifted, becoming more shy.

Coraline smirked. "We're going to need our biggest hoodies to ensure the other wizards don't recognize us."

Matthew beamed. "You can borrow one of mine."

Los Angeles - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Coraline didn't expect anything less when Matthew handed her a hoodie that was the opposite of mundane, adorning one himself.

That's how the pair walked into the theme park, one wearing a cat hoodie and the other drowning in a skeleton one that fit like a ballgown.

They'd gone on their first ride, Forbidden Journey, stumbling out in a fit of giggles as Matthew gagged into a brown paper bag. "Maybe we should go on Flight of the Hippogriff if that was too much for you." She teased, stopping to rub his back. He pulled away from the bag, plucking the bottle of water from Coraline's purse and chugging it before looking back at her, a frown on his face.
