The Light In The Shadows (Book 2!)

He's Back

They raced to the top level of the workshop. "What do you mean there's trouble at the Warren?" Hiccup asked.  "Follow up question, what's a Warren?"  Rapunzel asked.  "A good place to freeze eggs" Jack said.  "Anyway, the Warren is an underground oasis filled with spring plants, Easter eggs and an ancient temple located in the Australian Outback. It's Bunny makes his eggs for Easter" Toothiana explained.  They made there way towards the top. 

"How are we getting there?"  Moana asked.  "We're taking the Sleigh" North pointed out, but Bunny has other plans and stood in front of them.  "Oh no mate, my Warren, my rules, buckle up" Bunny grinned, North gulped as Bunny tapped his foot in the ground twice, and a hole formed in the ground making them fall in.

"AHHH" North screamed, he,Eugene and Maui were the only ones out of control sliding down the hole, Jack, Merida, Hiccup, and Cassandra are surfing/skating, Elsa was making a trail of ice to help her keep balance, Toothless was behind them because he was too big Moana and Rapunzel were sliding down like it was a slide Tooth is hovering along with the pile, as was Anna using her powers,  while Bunny is bounding ahead of everyone.

Besides Jack, Merida, Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, and Moana, the rest The rest land in a heap at the bottom of the tunnel.  "Buckle up...will never be funny" North sighed.  "Guys, Welcome to the Warren" Bunny hopped forward into the tunnel, as did the others. 

"This place is amazing" Rapunzel looked around, it was beautiful, everywhere she went, there were pretty eggs decorated amazingly.  "There's more to see" Bunny promised as he continued to hop forward.  "Hey, look over there!"  Hiccup pointed at the An army of little white eggs with feet marching down a hill.  "Compared to all the eggs, that's just a minor flock" Tooth laughed.

"Um, aren't we here for a reason?"  Eugene asked, but as Jack was about to respond, Bunny sits up alert, turning towards the first tunnel - his ears perk up, his nose twitches.  "Something's up."  A horde of Bunny's undecorated eggs come running out of the tunnel, so he gets into a battle-ready stance. Then everyone else does too. Bunny's Easter Island Sentinel Eggs spin their faces around to look mean.

"Umm, what are we doing?"  Anna asked.  Bunny pointed at the black energy falling towards them, but suddenly, the big black energy multiplied, into millions of black horses. "Great, he's back" Jack groaned as froze one portion of the horses.

The rest of the horses judged them into the air, everyone but North, Bunny, Sandy and Tooth, and just let them fall to earth, hoping they'd be painfully injured. "Cass, rock us!" Merida shouted, Cassandra raised her hands in the air, and multiple Black rocks rose from the ground and landed under the Guardians.

"Get em!"

Jack pulsed out a wave of cryonic energy, knocking the nightmare horses near him back, but one knocked him off his rock, and made him lose his staff. Without his staff, Jack couldn't fly, but as he continued to reach for his staff, he got closer to the ground. "Jack!" Elsa blasted the staff making it land into Jack's hands, and he flew towards his opponents and hits them with numerous icy spikes, freezing them mid-flight, before flying towards them, grabbing their manes and flipping forward, slamming them onto the ground, shattering the ice.

Elsa looked as a flock of horses raced towards her, as her hands started to glow a winter white, she shot a cold field outward, basically freezing all of them, ever since she battled her evil side, her powers grew stronger. She then summons a snow storm around them and continues to blast them until the black sand fell to the ground.

Anna was surrounded by more nightmares than everyone else, but why? Why did Pitch give her so many nightmares? Nothing she couldn't handle, she threw 2 fireballs at them each, she make a burst of fire emerges from beneath the horses, and with one single clap, she created a wave of fire, destroying all of them.

Rapunzel her eyes and hair glow bright yellow, and she levitated in the air. Empowered by hope, she generated and manipulated waves of pure solar energy, which she fired at the horses, making them all fly back.

Cassandra triggered massive shock waves when in physical contact with the Black Rocks, which impales the horses making black sand fall on the rocks

Moana slams the bottom of her Oar down, causing a swirling shield of water around herself, which causes a short range-explosion of water, then Maui flew by and striked all of them down with his fishhook

Merida continued to shoot her arrows, but as the nightmares began to get closer, she grabbed her sword out of her stealth and knocked them uncontrollably in the air, as she reached in her quiver, she sees that Elsa and Jack had froze the tips of her bows, and she fired a series of freezing arrows followed by a series of fire arrows Anna made her.

Hiccup flew on Toothless, who raptly blasted the nightmares with his fire. Hiccup took out his sword and jumped off Toothless, slicing all the nightmares near him, and Toothless quickly flew down so Hiccup could land on him.

They so flew down back to the other guardians so defeated the rest of the nightmares. "Umm, where's Pitch?" Hiccup asked, but then they heard it.

"Aww, this is nice, all the Guardians together, well, you know what they say, your stronger together, isn't that right?"

They looked forward to see none other than the King of nightmares himself.  Pitch, looking more evil than ever, with Mor'du, Mother Gothel, Hans, Te Ka and Drago behind him, the Guardians got into a battle-ready stance.

"Oh there will be no need for that" Pitch scoffed, he blasted there hands making them drop there staff, bow, swords, Oar, and fishhook. "Oh you didn't wanna fight, why'd you send them after us" Tooth demanded.  "I just wanna introduce you to my friend" Pitch pointed at a man in the shadows, and he slowly emerged to the light.

The man was tall, skinny, mustached; and dressed in very linear black-and-red clothing. He has purple eyes, and a thin mustache.  "I don't think we've been properly introduced" the man bowed.

"My name is Dr. Facilier."

"You're the man who turned Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen into frogs!  Your the voice I've been hearing!"  Anna yelped.  "That's both right, your majesty"  Dr. Facilier laughed.

"So the King of nightmares is working with the shadow man, we should've seen that coming" Rapunzel laughed.  "You won't be able to see anything after this!"  Pitch promised, they all blasted the Guardians with black sand that violently circled around them.

Jack tried to blast them, but it didn't do anything.  "What do we do?" Moana was worried, right now there was no way out.  "We do this" North grabbed a snowglobe out of his jacket and created a portal below then making them fall in.

"Awww, they can run away, but this battle of far from over" Pitch laughed.
