The Light In The Shadows (Book 2!)

Hero To Guardian

The guardians wounded up in a dark cave.  "Ugh, this place looks terrible" Anna looked down at the river, it was full of, is that, soul?  "This must be the underworld" Elsa remembered reading the books of Hades and the Underworld as a child. 

Just as they were about to walk, they heard a woman screaming.  They looked to see a woman being attacked by monsters, she fell to the ground, and the monsters surrounded her.  "Stay away from her!" Sofia got out her Enchanlet and used the whip to push those monsters into the river.

"Nice job, Sof" Rapunzel smiled as Sofia made her way towards the woman.  The woman had long, dark auburn hair tied into a high ponytail with its most notable feature being the curly fringes on its tip. She has purple eyes with lavender eyelids. She wears a lavender Greek dress with golden straps, a long skirt with the hem ending just above her orange-sandaled feet, and two purple sashes; a tight one under her bust to give her a tiny waist and a loosened one tied at her right side by a golden spiral pendant around her wide hips.  Sofia put her hand out, wanting to help her up. 

"Thanks, but...I'm fine" the woman got up, dust herself off, and looked at Sofia.  "And you're supposed to be?" she placed her hand on her hip.  "I'm Sofia," said Sofia, she introduced everyone else and said they were here to see Hades.

"Y'all sure you wanna see him?" The Woman asked. "We wouldn't have asked if you didn't" Jack groaned. "Okay, his lair is up the stairs," the young woman said. "Names Megara, by the way, my friends call me Meg."

As Meg exited the lair, the Guardians went the other direction, Meg wishing them good luck and that their gonna need it.

As they made their way to the Evil God, three monsters then popped out of nowhere, ready to consume them.  "Monsters!"  Merida gasped.  "I think we know that, redhead" Jack laughed.  "Never call me redhead!"  Merida shot a rebellious teenage tone turns Jack and the two broke out into an argument.  Instead of Disbanding the argument, Rapunzel wrapped her hair around the monsters and Anna set them ablaze.  "Are you two done?"  The girls laughed.

A few minutes later, they were again encountered by another pack of monsters, but this time, two Harpies flew into the window.  Jack grabbed one by its foot and threw back out, while Hiccup has Toothless let at a fireball at one knocking it out the window.  "These are way too easy" Eugene laughed.  "Don't jink it, Fitzherbert" Cassandra flicked Eugene on the back of his head and rolled her eyes.

We're hot on the trail to the lair of the God of the Underworld until something else got in their way.  "Wow, this place is so dark and moody" Amber looked around.  "Just like redhead" Jack smirked, Merida was about to hit him but Moana held her back.

Just then, a large centaur with the head and upper body of a man and the body of a horse came charging down the cave, knocking them back.  "What is that?" James asked as the centaur grabbed him hostage.  "It's a Nessus, I've had my fair share of encounters with him," Maui said.  "Well, don't just stand there, help!" James shouted as he tried to escape the monster's grasp.  Anna bolted towards the Nessus and let out a giant fireball sending him flying and dropping Hadie.  "Thanks, your majesty," James said.  "Please just call me Anna" Anna chuckled as she whipped her strawberry-blonde locks around.

Nessus wasn't done yet and charged towards the boys, but they outmatched him.  Jack and Elsa combined their powers of ice and frost until he was nothing but a big block of ice.  "Let's go before he melts!"  Hiccup said as they ran forward.

"Okay, just across the bridge," Jack said.  As they made their way across the bridge, Merida looked down in the river of soles, for the first time since the Mor'du, this actually freaked her out.  "Watch out!" Cassandra pulled Merida away from the edge, saving her from falling in and becoming one with the soles in the river.  Suddenly, more monsters fell from the sky, but they were in such as rush, they pushed them into the river, where the soles consumed them.

"Where is he?"  Anna asked

"Jeez layeez, how many people are gonna come looking for me?"

Hades stood behind them, his yellow eyes basically glowing and showing off his sharp teeth, wearing a black robe and a smoky base, and his flaming blue hair cracking.  "Look, Maui pointed at Hades eyes, blackness worked in them.  "We gotta knock him out of it," Merida said.  "It won't change his evilness," Anna said, she couldn't even fight him, after all, fire vs fire just makes miss fire.

"Doesn't matter" Elsa let out of a wave of ice that blew out Hades hair.  "Whoa, whoa, is my hair out?"  He asked, but as he blew a fireball at the group, Elsa blocked it with an ice shield.

As they continued to fight, Hades cornered them to the edge of a cliff that led to the river of souls.  "Aww, this won't be a problem, will it?"  Hades asked, but before he could deliver a final blow, a man jumped down and punched him away.

The man had short strawberry-blond hair and blue wide-eyes and wears a brown sweatband on his head.  He wore brown Roman warrior armor gear with a dark brown belt, brown wristbands, and matching warrior sandals. He also gains a long light blue cape on the back of his tunic and wields a warrior sword and shield.

"Who are you?"  Hiccup asked.  "I'm Hercules, a true hero he said, his body glowing a bright yellow.

"EVERYONE GETS A HAPPY ENDING WHILE I'M FORGOTTEN, NO MORE!" Hades screamed, his signature blue hair changing to a dangerous yellow.

But before he could do anything, Hercules gave him a mighty punch that threw him into the soul river.

"Thank you for helping us" Sofia smiled.  "Anytime" Hercules flashed his boyish smile at the Guardians.

Just then, a portal opened, but instead of waiting for them to walk in then close, Elsa is sucked in, and the portal turns a very dark icy blue.  "What was that?" Sofia asked.  "I don't know, but we need to find out," Anna said as they ran towards the portal.
