I was hoping that Asuka didn't have plans today, but she did. Which meant today would be a rather boring day, something that I should be used to by now. I stared at my desk, starting the homework I neglected to do yesterday. I didn't really want to do it by myself, I thought Asuka would make things more interesting.
But, guess I will be forced to do it by myself, just like I usually would. As I worked, I heard my door open and there was only my father and I in our house, so it had to be him.
"Yes, father?"
"I see you're studying, such determination to rule over your peers."
"We both know where I got that from, don't we father?"
"Yes, although I've heard you've been hanging around a particular girl as of late. Asuka Teruhashi, if I'm not mistaken."
I turned around facing my father, seeing that smile that has been on his face more often. It's been there ever since towards the end of the year, after he had to resign from his position as principal of my school.
"Yes, I have been, she's an interesting individual."
My father stared at me, waiting for a reaction to come out of me. I wouldn't give him the satisfaction. He turned around, about to leave my room when he stopped right before my door, turning around to face me.
"You should invite her over for dinner one of these days, it would be nice to see what's making my son more relaxed."
I felt my eyes widen, and I grit my teeth turning away from him, hearing him shut the door behind him. Is it really that obvious now? No one else seems to have noticed anything like that. I pulled out my phone, going to my photos to see ones of just Asuka and I.
She's definitely gotten me to go out more, I'll give her that. But her making me more relaxed? I stared at the pictures of us more, and I shook my head chuckling. She does have a way with people, that's something I'll give to her.
I put my phone down, and went back to working on my homework, which took up to two hours to do for some reason. Usually it wouldn't take such a long time, but it did for some reason. I'm starting to become more and more like Asuka, something that shouldn't be happening.

I was playing with my ball, dribbling it and kicking it at the wall, feeling bored. I usually don't get bored, but I didn't have anything to do today. I was counting on Asuka to be free during the weekend, but her father had other plans for her, so it seemed.
After drilling my ball into my wall for the last hour, I decided to go and get something to eat out in the town. So, I put my shoes on and began my walk through the town, heading towards the cafe that Isogai used to work at.
I entered, and I wasn't surprised to see him inside working. Although he's probably keeping that on the down low now, which would do him some good. I took a seat, and went through my phone, with all the pictures of Asuka and I, once again.
Why can't I get her out of my head? I heard someone clear their throat, and I looked up to see Isogai standing their with a notepad in his hand.
"Hey Asano, what can I get you today?"
"Cofee, black, no sugar. Then just a sandwich will suffice."
