Chapter 21

6 days since Billie and Jake ran away

(With Billie and Jake)

"Billie!" I turned round to see Derby a old friend (that I hated) running up to me with a buggy as I was putting the dustbin out.

"What?" I gave her my dirtiest look.

"I need your help." Worry was forming across her face so I hurried her inside.

"Are you ok? I haven't seen you since year 9."

"I'm on the run and I need your help."

"Why are you on the run?"

"Matt." That was all she needed to say for me to pull her into a hug and her to start crying.

Matt used to be my best friend it was always me,Matt and Derby until Matt started dating Derby and got her pregnant, that's is when it all changed. Me and Derby remained close friends until she had Hayden, her son, when she used to come in with bruises and all she said was 'it was Matt', she later moved about a month into having Hayden into Matt's house and we never spoke again.

"It's got worse so when I heard that you had runaway and that you were in Liverpool I had to come and find you."

"Of course I will help you." I pulled out of the hug.

I made Derby up an air mattress and put up a travel cot for Hayden that I found in the loft and made sure it was alright with Jade. "So how old is Hayden?"

"5 months next week." I was pulling faces at Hayden causing him to smile.

"When's your baby due?" She asked

"We don't know yet we have only had one scan and even then it was only to make sure I was definitely pregnant."

"How many weeks are you?"

"Just over 4 weeks and 5 in 4 days but the good thing is Jade is a midwife so it stops us having to go out and risk getting caught." She smiled and I passed her the glass of water she asked for.

4 days later

(Dumping ground)

"Mike the story is on." Everybody crowded round the T.V.

"1 week and 3 days ago Jake Sands and Billie Scott went missing. Billie Scott and Jake Sands are both 15 and are expecting a baby and went missing after Jake Sands was expelled from school for fighting. CCTV at Liverpool station and Billie Scott and Jake Sands have not been seen. If you have any information on the location of Billie and Jake please phone 034567968760." Everybody glanced at each other not wanting to speak

"Mike, do you think we will find them?" Rick said causing a death glare from Johnny.

"Of course we will." Mike's face was not so convincing.
