Chapter 34

"Why are you doing this?" I asked Russell as we pulled into the car park of the pizza restaurant.

"Doing what?" He did seem really confused so maybe he is just scared of commitment.

"Your acting like your ashamed to be seen with me taking me to restaurant the other side of town, moving my hand when I touch you, you have only kissed me twice." He looked down his face dropping. He looked back up with his face completely pale as if he was about to cry.

"There is another girl," WHAT!!!! "Look I'm not cheating on you, me and this girl it's not serious, it's a friend with benefits situation, well at least to me," he paused holding back tears. "This girl she thinks it's serious and I promise I tried calling it off but she wouldn't let me. I only have carried this on is because I feel like I have a connection with you, I haven't taken you to public is because she works in town and she has a lot of friends and if she found out about us she would kill me."

I let him talk as, I think, it's better to let somebody completely explain instead of jumping the gun. I didn't know what to do.

"Sorry I can't do this," I got out of the car, "I understand why you did it but I don't want to be a classed as someone who dates cheats. When you have broken up with her give me a call and I promise I won't turn you down."

I arrived back at the home after a 1 hour bus ride and a twenty minute walk around Tesci to get food for me.

RING, RING
"Hello?" I asked slightly confused as it was a blocked number. "How is this?" I heard breathing but it sounded they were crying at the same time.

"You skank," I was slightly taken aback.

"Sorry?" I was extremely confused.

"You have been sleeping with my boyfriend." OMG!! It's Russell's 'girlfriend'

"Sorry, I haven't been sleeping with your boyfriend, I have only kissed him twice. He told me today that you two were friends with benefits. I called it off I'm not going out with him anymore." She sighed and hung up. What the hell!!! Did Russell tell her? Did she read our texts?

I walked into my room falling on the bed and wrapping myself in my duvet hoping Kelly wasn't going to drop if the twins anytime soon as I wanted to sleep.

1 week later

RING, RING

I rolled over hoping they would get the hint that it was 4 am and I am asleep.

RING,RING

"What?!" I sat up in bed rubbing my eyes. There was no answer for a few minutes so I hung up, put my phone back on charge and went back to sleep

I opened my phone

Russell's 'girlfriend'. He told me the truth. I just thought I would let you know. You can have him.

I didn't know what to say. Do I want Russell back? I said I would get back with him when he told her.

I locked my phone and walked into the living room with the twins in my arms. I strapped both the twins into the bouncer. I got up and walked into the kitchen and started making up two bottles of milk for the twins.

I walked back into the living room turning on the TV and placing the twins on my lap and started feeding them.

A few hours later

BEEP, BEEP
I almost jumped my phone.

RUSSELL
sorry can't

Why can't he meet? Is it because I told his 'girlfriend' about us. Why did I have to question him?

My life is just going downhill and it is just getting worse.
