A/N: Hello everyone! I'm sorry it took a long time for me to submit my next chapter. As I said, my pet rabbit Belle passed away and I was pretty Depressed about it. I had always intended on continuing this fic, but sometimes morning for a lost pet takes longer than others. It took longer than expected for me to get myself back in gear. I intend on finishing this fic. Again, I apologize for taking this long to continue. Hopefully, I will finish this fic.

FEBURARY 15, 5:29 PM

HAZAKURA TEMPLE
MAIN HALL

After Nicolas and I climbed out of the cave, we met up with Mr. Edgeworth up on the cliff, then climbed down before making our way to inside the temple. I kept my eyes out, scanning all the nuns of the temple. Considering what I had found, I had assumed that, if anyone had been in that cave, it had to be a nun with a missing orb. The first two people we came across was Sister Bikini and Iris. Both had their robs and necklaces with white orbs, all the same number and location. It wasn't them.

"Welcome back. How was the Investigation?" Sister Bikini asked.

"It was alright. A high climb, though," Mr. Edgeworth said, looking tired as the girls giggled.

"Yes, Feenie has climbed many heights and performed many extreme feats," Sister Iris said, showing a soft smile. "I'm certain you both must be hungry. Would you care to stay for dinner?"

"Of course. We humbly accept your offer," I agreed as Mr. Edgeworth seemed to give me a look of suspicion. Usually, I would let him make decisions like these, but I had to narrow down any possible suspects. It seems he could sense I had an ulterior motive. (1)

"It has been a long day," Mr. Edgeworth agreed as Sister Bikini laughed happily.

"Of course! Of course! We have two seats for you over there," Sister Iris said, leading us to the two sitting mats. (2)

Sitting down, I had noticed Misty and Morgan Fey. They also wore the nun robes with their white orbs around their necks. Neither one seemed to be missing any white orbs either. So, if it wasn't Sister Bikini, Sister Iris, Morgan or Mystic Misty, then who was it? Perhaps I should consider any nuns that are not here or have been seen in robes before.

"Gregory, how has the investigation been coming along? I've heard about the verdict for my niece. I cannot thank you enough for this," Mystic Misty asked.

"Same. I knew something was not right. I'm just glad all things turned out for the better," Morgan agreed.

"I'm sorry for failing to save Maya, Mystic Misty," Nicolas apologized, his face practically on the ground as he bowed his apology to Mystic Misty.

"It cannot be helped. There was no way you could have done anything, considering everything that has happened. I know you. You would have saved Maya, had it been possible," Mystic Misty replied, gently cupping Nicolas' chin, so that he would look up at her. "There is no need to apologize for something you cannot control, my dear Nicolas. You did your best."

"Thank you," Nicolas choked.

I could not completely understand this. Shouldn't it be common sense that Nicolas had no control over the situation? The fool practically passed out when Maya fell. It was no one's fault! I then glanced at Morgan, who showed a smile towards Nicolas. That's when it started to become clear what Nicolas' intentions were. He wasn't apologizing as much as he was trying to stand on the Fey's good graces. He was to be the future husband of the future Master of the Kurain Village.
