Melody's POV

I stood at the control thing for a long time. Dad had set up my room so that-with his permission-I could rearrange my room without much hassle. I stared at it, thinking. "What do you think, old girl?" I muttered.

A digital image came up and I smiled. The TARDIS always knew what I would prefer. "I can't wait to see the room," I said as I left. I locked my door and left the TARDIS to redo my room.

While I was gone, Dad had taken us to a surprise place. As I entered the console room, Dad looked up. "Ah, Melody!" he said. "Just going and running off, are we?"

"It got awkward."

"Nah, it didn't. What do you think? Future or past?"

"Uhhh, Dad?" I said. "I'm not-" Then I stopped myself. "You know what? Surprise me."

"Hang on a sec," Clara said. "Did you just call him Dad?"

"Yeaaaah. Why?"

"Is she your daughter?" Clara asked Dad.

"Yes," Dad said.

"Well, then, Dad, when were you planning on telling?"

"He doesn't. I'm his little secret," I said. "Bit annoying, really, but at least I hadn't got his face."

"Yeah, imagine having that chin," Clara said.

"Then again," Dad said, "you did get most of your looks from your mum. And you are a child from a previous regeneration. And you did regenerate yourself."

"Don't remind me," I said with a shudder. "That was not fun."

"What happened?" Clara asked.

"I was shoved out a third-story window that was closed," I said.

"Willingly," Dad added.

"I wasn't in my right mind," I pointed out.

"She was being controlled by a microchip called that went by the name of Liliana Potts and convinced her to believe she could see the dead. Then we found she didn't, and Queen Alexandra of Planet Thorn tried to shut down Liliana but it turns out she wasn't. Then, we went to Thorn and another girl by the name of Anastasia-notorious murderer, also controlled by Liliana-shoved her out a window. My friend Ella who's another Time Lord that went human for about eighteen years gave Melody all her regeneration energy because Melody barely has any and Melody regenerated," Dad said in his classical nonstop talk.

"Yeah," I said. "Liliana Potts was also someone I thought to be dead-she had the form of a little girl in a purple dress, but appeared ghostly. Just an FYI."

"Ohhh..." Clara nodded. "Well, this whole entire conversation has made absolutely no sense to me."

"That's because you're human," I said.

"You're part human, too," Dad pointed out. "All were-cats are, with the exception of Queen Alexandra."

"If they are all part human, wouldn't they be like a hybrid?" Clara asked.

I shook my head. "As far as we know, I'm the only were-cat hybrid. And the only were-cat who's part Time Lord. Guess you could say I'm 'unique'."

"What are were-cats?" Clara asked.

"They are a type of alien that have three forms-humanoid form, house-cat form-"

"With the exception of Queen Alexandra, who turns into a snow leopard," I added.

"-yeah, and a were-cat form. The were-cat form only appears during a full moon. When human they have retractable claws, pointy ears, pointy teeth, and when scared, their pupils turn slit-eyed. They can change into a regular cat at will. They live on Planet Thorn, a planet so huge it's hard to describe. It's also protected by borders so that none of their many enemies can get in. Unfortunately, only recently has the TARDIS been allowed in. Planet Thorn also has no moon, which is good, because although Melody doesn't turn into a full-fledged were-cat during a full moon, she still gets rather vicious. Actually, she's always rather vicious, but more so than usual. Does that clear things up for you?" Dad asked.
