Doctor's POV

Melody ran up to the console of the TARDIS and pulled it into flight before Clara had even shut the door. She wore such a look of a determination that I felt a little nervous about what we were going to do.

She spun around the console, her hair flaring out. She really wanted to get to Liliana and shut her down once and for all. It shown in her face, in her eyes, in the way she took over the console.

The TARDIS landed with a jolt, and Melody flew out in a blur of black. Right before getting into the TARDIS, she had changed into a black pair of leggings and a black tank top with a black sweatshirt-the outfit of a female were-cat about to join a fight. I had seen Kat wear this exact outfit before.

She wore this outfit the night she died.

I noticed it had a belt-black, of course-holding several were-cat weapons.

What did she think we were getting into?

She slid a small hand gun into her hand and walked out, holding it loosely. Clara looked at me. I could tell she was thinking, Is she okay?

"I don't like this at all," I whispered to her, and she nodded. "Melody does know what she's doing, right?" she asked.

I shrugged and shook my head. I squeezed my hands into fists and let them relax.

Then the alarms went off.

Clara's POV

Melody spun around, holding the gun out. Her face showed panic. "How could they pick up our presence so quickly?" she muttered. "And who set off the alarms?"

"I can answer that," a girl's voice said behind us.

Melody turned back around to see a girl not much older than eight wearing a purple dress. Melody lowered the gun a little. "Liliana," she said calmly.

The girl cocked her head to the side. "I thought your father didn't approve of guns," she said. "Or is he making an exception?"

"I don't like guns," the Doctor said. "And I don't make exceptions. Not even for a hologram-micro-chip thingy who tried to kill my daughter several times. Who ruined her childhood."

"Dad," Melody warned. "You shouldn't-"

"Shouldn't what?" Liliana asked.

Melody just shook her head, a slight grin traveling across her face. "You can't read my mind. The only info you will get from me ever again is if I told you. And give me one reason why I should tell you anything."

"I know Anastasia told you what was going on," Liliana said. "And she is right. And there's quite the battle that's going on. But this won't last long."

"Oh yeah?" Melody raised one eyebrow. "Well, guess what? You're a hologram. And you can't do harm to me. And you know what else?"

She lifted up the gun until it was pointed at a part of the ceiling. "Holograms always have a source of light."

She pulled the trigger. The bang rang in my eardrums. Liliana screamed, "No!"

Melody lowered the gun. "One down, God knows how many more to go..." her voice faltered as a rumbling began. She looked at us with fear in her eyes.

No-she looked at the ceiling with fear in her eyes.

The Doctor was the first to say anything. "Run!" he yelled.

We all burst into a sprint as parts of the ceiling began to fall down. "Turn right!" Melody coughed as we reached an intersection. Dust was coming down thick.

The Doctor didn't question, instead following her instructions. But Melody wasn't fast enough. She screamed and tripped. Just then, the last of the ceiling caved in.

"Melody!" the Doctor screamed, climbing over the wreckage to get to his daughter. She was laying face-down in the rubble, half-covered by the ceiling. The Doctor pulled away the pieces of the ceiling to get to her. I quickly scrambled to help him.

We pulled a large chunk off of her, and she slowly pushed herself to her feet. She swayed a little and grabbed her father's shoulder. "Not trying...that tactic again," she said, coughing. But besides a couple scratches on her face and tears in her sweatshirt, she looked unharmed. "We need to keep going," she said, rubbing her sleeve on her face.

Something crackled, and Melody jumped. But it was just a speaker system.

"Did you really think I'd hurt you?" Liliana taunted.

"Yes," Melody said. "You've kind of thrown me off of cliffs and through closed windows and threw lightning strikes at me...wait. You caused the ceiling to cave in?"

"No," Liliana admitted. "That was all you. You've got so much to do for me."

I snorted. "Like what?"

"Entertain me," Liliana said. "I want to see your attempts. In the meantime...intruders in section 4-C! Intruders in section 4-C!"

"Well this just got a hell lot worse," the Doctor said as a bunch of armed soldiers came running towards us holding guns.

Melody's POV

We're screwed.

I slowly dropped the gun and put my hands up. Dad and Clara did the same. Minus the gun, of course.

"Come with us," the guards said.

"Let them be," Liliana's voice said.

"You just said..." one of the guards said.

"I know what I just said!" Liliana snapped. "I've made a mistake."

The guards looked confused, but they slowly backed away. The Doctor nodded at them and walked by. I stuck close to him, glancing around in worry.

Once we were out of earshot, I crowed, "He must've made her say that!"

"Shush," the Doctor said. "I don't think we're out of danger yet."

He pulled out the screwdriver and spun in a circle, pressing the button. He held it up. "This way," he said, turning around to go the other way. I looked at Clara and we both shrugged.

He stopped at a door with a sign reading, Control Room.  "This must be it," I said. He looked at me, excitement in his eyes. He pushed open the door.

I know, I've been really, really bad at updating. But I'm so happy for some action. And hopefully I can finish the action and write a little Christmas thingy before the actual holiday. Though if that offends you, I apologize.
