The Doctor's POV

I decided to let the TARDIS choose where we landed.

"Because that worked out well the last time," Melody said sarcastically. "I really, really hope she chooses a fun place with no danger."

"Anywhere in particular?" I asked. She shrugged. "Not off the top of my head."

"Well, the coordinates say we're going to...London," I frowned. "No foreign planet? No distant future? Just...present day London? Huh. Guess we could get a cuppa while we're there. Buy a couple trinkets."

"Gotta have the trinkets," Melody said with a smirk.

"And the tea. Can't forget the tea," I added. "Maybe visit Emily."

"Visiting Emily would be nice," Melody agreed. "I haven't seen her in forever."

I knew that Emily, one of Melody's best friends, would love to see Melody. After we explained the whole regeneration thing, of course. But Emily would understand.

"And then we'll go get some fish and chips, maybe," Melody said. "I'm in the mood for fish."

"Aren't you always?" I asked, pulling opened the doors and finding...

Babies. Everywhere.

Everyone in London was transformed into babies.

Melody's POV

"So, I'm guessing no fish and chips," Dad said. I looked at him. "That's what you care about? No fish and chips? Everyone's a flippin' baby, for God's sake!"

"I'm just saying," he muttered. "Well, London's been transformed into a bunch of babies! Well, maybe not just London. Maybe the whole world. Who knows?" he shrugged. "This is very interesting, indeed."

"But isn't everything?" I asked him. He nodded. "But what's even more interesting is this: why aren't we babies, too?"

"Maybe because we weren't there when everyone was transformed?" I suggested. I searched in my pockets for my sonic laser light. "Ah, no, I've lost it!"

"Lost what?" Dad asked. He was outside the TARDIS, sonicing around.

"My laser light!" I searched around the console room frantically, knowing even if it was in there, I wouldn't have found it; the room was too big. And then I remembered: Captain Taylor had disarmed me while I was asleep.

Which meant my laser light was still on the ISASD. Which meant I wasn't going to get it back-ever.

Which was bad, because I rely on the laser light like the Doctor relies on his TARDIS to get him around. So that meant I was completely screwed.

"Did you find it?" Dad called. He had come back, holding a baby. He set it down on the console and I sighed. "No, I didn't find it. But you might want to get a diaper on that baby."

"I just need to check something," Dad said calmly. I shrugged. "Alright, but if the baby uses the bathroom, I'm not cleaning up the console."

"Give me five seconds, and I'll put one on her," he picked up a syringe and gently plunged it into the baby's arm and pulled the stopper up. He then slowly eased out the needle. I picked her up and said, "While you do whatever, I'm gonna go get a diaper on her."

"Fine," he called as I left the room.

I knew that Dad kept a lot of my old baby stuff under the floor, and I knew where. Soon, I had a diaper on her and a onesie. I came back to the TARDIS console room, where Dad was staring intensely at the little screen. "Interesting," he muttered. He stood up and beckoned me over. "Look at this, Melody. Right there. Do you see that?"
