The Lost Luna

Chapter 9- Missing

Kyle's POV

I was in the middle of a meeting with the main pack doctor, head farmer, and some other officials of the community when Annie mind-linked me.

"Alpha Kyle help! We've been ambushed and Luna is unconscious."

After hearing that rage and worry fill me and she tells me where they are and I send a mind-link to Mason, my Beta, Luke, my gamma, and 15 of my most trusted warriors.

"The Luna is in trouble. Meet my by the Western Boarder."

I take off running as I listen to them all reply. I only have to wait for a couple seconds before they all arrive and we shift into our wolves and take off to the address Annie gave us. My wolf is a big black wolf with bright green eyes. Normally I live running but not with the thought of Paige in trouble. We arrive and we don't bother to shift back before emerging into the clearing where Annie should be. I quickly see Annie and run to her side. She is in her wolf form. I can tell she's badly injured and quickly order some of the warriors to get her to the pack doctor. Before they take her she looks at me as sadness fills her eyes.

"I'm sorry Alpha they took her."

I try to be mad at Annie but I can't. She tried her best it is my fault I should've made her take more warriors with her. I try to smell my mates scent but it's no use, whoever took her knew what they were doing. I just pray to the moon goddess that I find her soon and she's safe.

Paige's POV

I wake up and realize I'm in the van the men had. I feel restraints on my wrists and they burn. I look and see that the restraints look like silver handcuffs. I listen closely as a few of the men start talking.

"So what are we gonna do with her exactly?"

"We're gonna kill her, then while the Alpha is still grieving we'll attack his pack and wipe them out." The man who said this demanded attention and screamed run, danger but I was frozen in fear. I was gonna die here.

No your not. On 3 shift and jump out of the back. We are strong enough to break the chains of the restraints and get out of this vehicle but it will take a toll on us.

"OK count me down."

I take a deep breathe

I release my breath and shift into my silver color wolf. Like Crystal said the chains on the handcuffs broke but they're still there. The men start panicking but before they can do anything I run into the back doors of the van and they go flying off on the road. I leap out of the van and run into the woods. I feel very weak but I had to put some distance between me and those men. I run as long and as fast as my legs can carry me until I collapse. I have no idea where I am or where Kyle or anyone else is. For once I feel totally alone. Even though I met Kyle a couple days ago I miss him like crazy, Crystal does too. I look around and see a cave. I walk there and lay down resting my head on my paws. I need more sleep before heading out tomorrow.

I wake up to the sound of feet hitting the ground but they didn't sound like human feet. They were wolf feet. I quickly jumped up and took off away from the sound of wolves. But they had locked onto my scent and were following me. I ran through the night letting the moon help guide my way as I weaved between trees and jumped over logs, I might've enjoyed this if I weren't being chased by other werewolves. I listen as one of the wolves slowly gains on me. I look behind me and see a dark grey wolf he looks smaller than me but I don't know how to fight so I didn't want a head on confrontation. All I could do was run.
