"Hey Kid," Bucky said entering Khai's room which was opened. Khai groaned before glaring at him.
"I'm thirty-eight!" she said throwing her hands up and he shrugged, "What do you want buckets?" She asked and he chuckled at the nickname,
"I need to do some grocery shopping and checked if you need anything?" he said and Khai smiled, "Is it okay if I come along?" she asked and he nodded. Khai grabbed her purse and they both left her room, going to the elevator and then going to the garage. Bucky unlocked his black Audi car. They both entered and drove to Target. It's been a while since Khai came, maybe three weeks she honestly didn't count. She was having fun, they were very nice to her as if they know her for years. Her dad would take her to his lab and show her his latest inventions and she would always remind him how proud she is of him. Khai is closest to Thor and peter probably because they're her roommates and thor cooks good breakfast. When they reached target they separated their ways and agreed to meet at the cashier's when they're done.
Khai gathered snacks for herself and her roommates, she also got some vegetables and fruits so she doesn't feel guilty. they needed to eat healthy. She thought. after that, she grabbed Pads, hummed, and walked around until she heard screams and gunshots. Her mind quickly drifted to Bucky so she ran around looking for him but that was a wrong move. She saw three men pointing their guns at people while yelling at them to get down. She slowly walked away but he already saw her.
"You!Down!" he yelled at her and she nodded slowly. Her heart was beating fast and her hands were shaking, she kneed and then put her hands up. Where is bucky? She thought before gulping. suddenly she heard a gunshot and she screamed putting her hands on her ear before looking up and saw a brown man injured, she gasped and started tearing up.
"You fucking idiot! why the fuck did you shoot him?" One of the men yelled, Khai stood up and one of the men pointed his gun at her. "Please, let me help him I'm a doctor." She sobbed when she didn't get any reply she slowly walked to the man and nodded at him before kneeling in front of the man.
She gulped when she felt something cold against her neck, Bucky where are you?
"If you dare to do anything I won't hesitate to kill you," He said and she nodded looking at the man's body, and gulped when she saw he was shot in his stomach. she hoped that bucky would come any minute now, because if not then the man in 10-15 minutes might die.
Bucky whistled quietly while closing his zipper, he left the bathroom and grabbed his cart. He raised his eyebrow when he found no one but shrugged and decided to go to the cashier hopefully meeting Khai there.
Bucky stopped in his tracks and for some reason, his blood boiled when he saw a gun was pointed at Khai, he glared at the man and then quickly looked at Khai and saw her hands on a man's stomach while sobbing. Khai was an angel sent from above. He thought looking at the of them. He looked at the armed men and nodded to himself thinking that he can take them with his eyes closed. He quickly ran to them and grabbed one of the men by the throat and throwing him at one of the shelves, the second man tried to shot him but bucky grabbed his hand and pulling it up shooting the ceiling before grabbing the gun and hitting him in the face. The third man who had his gun pointed at Khai looked at Khai and then bucky quickly, He noticed that the man was about to pull the trigger but bucky was lucky and kicked him sooner pushing him away from Khai, But the trigger was already pulled and he heard Khai screaming.
