"As if," she said scoffing, Bucky glared at her before walking away, about to leave her room, He stopped and faced her.

"Why did you kiss me?" Khai asked as soon as they pulled away, Bucky rested his forehead against hers before smiling softly.
"I wanted to do this for a while," he said and Khai blushed, Bucky pulled Khai into another kiss.
Khai's heart fluttered and butterflies were in her stomach, she never felt like this with her ex-husband. so why bucky? When they pulled away bucky cleared his throat and suggested having a movie day and they did.
Five movies later, they got bored and decided to ask each other questions. They were cuddling on Khai's bed.
"Dad told me you were a Russian assassin," she mumbled and Bucky chuckled before nodding,
"I was called the Winter Soldier, Arnim Zola a scientist that worked in HYDRA he um he brainwashed me. I don't know if Tony told you or not but one of my assassination mission was um to kill your grandparents." He whispered the last part, Khai's heart shattered at the mention of her grandparents. She barely remembers them, they died when she was only four years old but her mother always mentioned how grateful she was because while she was pregnant her parents kicked her out since they were strict and the Starks welcomed her with open arms.
But it wasn't Bucky's fault, Bucky didn't kill them. it was Winter Soldier.
"Hey, bucky it wasn't your fault," she said looking at him and putting her hands on his cheeks. "You were brainwashed, you're not a killer," she said before resting her forehead against hers, Bucky smiled softly before peeking her lips.
"I was then taken to Wakanda, a girl called Shuri she helped me. she healed me with traditional stuff as she calls it that they learned from their ancestors, and tech stuff as well. They kept me with the elders and as Shuri would say I was peaceful, they also gave me a lot of self-help books and that's when your dad and steve came to check up on me and they realized I'm all good and better, they took me back with them." He said and Khai didn't know what to do or say,
"You're better now, that's what matters. You're surrounded by people who care about you and love you." She said and bucky smiled nodding.
"Yeah, I'm thankful." He said, "Your dad mentioned that you had a bad marriage," Bucky said and Khai sighed.
"Of course he did, he never liked him." she said and bucky raised his eyebrow, "If you don't want to tell me it's fine." He said, Khai shook her head quickly.
"His name was Hakan, he was Turkish. We met in turkey, it was love at first sight. He's a very powerful person and I don't mean powers and superheroes no, He had connections everywhere either if it's bad or good. He's very known in Turkey as well," She said before taking a deep breath.
"Hey, if you don't want to ta-"
"After three years of a relationship, he proposed and I said yes. Dad never liked him, He always warned me about him but I ignored him, My annem (mother) as well. Hakan was forty-five with a kid of his own, I never minded it. His daughter was nice but she refused to see me as her mother and I didn't mind that, Anyways. It started when we were at one of his events, I remember I was wearing a red dress and this man kept staring at me. When Hakan noticed he took me home and he uh he hit me." Khai whimpered and Bucky held her tighter. His blood boiled, how did he hit her? how could he do something like that?
"The next day he apologized and gave me a very expensive necklace and promised me its gonna be the first and last time he would lay a finger on me and stupid me believed him, The second time happened at a party, I hugged one of my guy friends and he got overly jealous. he took me home and he hit me again and again. He never stopped bucky, he would apologize the next day and act as if nothing happened, He was obsessed with me. I couldn't divorce him, I couldn't leave him. Wherever I go he would find me." she said before wiping her tears and getting up grabbing her laptop and turning it on, He saw Khai opening Youtube and typing something in Turkish, and then click on the video. Her face was bruised, The one who hit her showed no mercy on her. The paparazzi were all yelling if she's okay.
"Looking at me, you wonder what happened, yes?" She said, she was speaking in Turkish but there were English subtitles.
"Who did this to me? Let me explain to you. I was a little uncomfortable last night and decided to go down and get some air beside the coast and speaking of the coast, I'm not talking about some distant place in front of the house. I met a friend there, This friend is a person whom both i and my husband know very well. We talked for a couple of minutes and then I returned home. My husband, who found out that I went out and talked with someone out of jealousy, dropped everything and suddenly returned home, can you imagine?" She said chuckling, Bucky looked at her from the corner of his eyes and saw her wiping her tears, He grabbed her hand and kissed it.
"Came home and immediately attacked me," She said, everyone gasped in the video and even the guy who was beside her who Bucky assumed is her bodyguard looked at her surprised.
"I didn't understand what happened? why did he hit me? Scary story, Huh? It's good that this not true, Just a bad dream. But this terrible dream happens every day in the house or someone's house. And I suffer quietly, but not anymore." She said before looking down and then thanking the press and leaving with her bodyguard behind her, She closed her laptop and looked slowly at bucky.
"That's my story," She said, Bucky pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead.
"You're safe , You're safe now My angel." He said while holding her.
