One year later,
"He still didn't call! I told him to call me-"
"You're just over worrying," Peter said but Khai shook her head, she had a bad feeling about it.
It's been a year since Khai and Bucky have been dating, and only their close friends knew about them. Her dad doesn't know but he's still sensing about it. Anyways, They were on a mission for about three weeks, that was the last time Khai saw her boyfriend, father, and best friends.
Bucky would always call her day and night just to reassure her that everything is fine, She would call her father too and both of them would talk about their day, but today no one called and she was worried.
Her patient paging buzzed and her heart starts beating fast, fearing it's one of the avengers. She quickly grabbed her phone and called Maria.
"Tell me," Khai said already heading to her clinic, "Bucky Barnes got shot on down of his chest, he's barely breathing," Maria replied and that's when Khai's world fell apart, she hung up and ran to the clinic and gasped when she saw the love of her life looking lifeless.
"Get out of my way!" she snapped pushing everyone away and looking at bucky, trying to stay calm and focus. but she lost that when his heart stopped beating.
"No! No! get me the defibrillator!" she screamed, the nurse handed her the paddles and she rubbed them together and then putting one paddle above and to the left of the heart and the other slightly beneath and to the right;
"It's not-"
"300 volts," Khai said before putting the paddles again, "Bucky don't you dare die on me, you get it?" she sobbed, "Dr, it's not working." The nurse said.
"500 volts," Khai said, the nurse didn't move and Khai glared at her. "Dr, you're gonna kill him!" she said.
"He's a super-soldier stupid! now put it 500 volts now!" Khai screamed at the nurse, she put the paddles again and electric him again. she sighed in relief when his heart started beating again.
"You scared me, my love," she said putting her head on his, Khai quickly got ready for the surgery.
She sighed in relief and thanked God that the surgery went in success, she left the surgery room and found the nurse who was helping her while bucky was dying. She looked at her.
"You're fired, you can leave," Khai said walking out of the clinic. She didn't need a stupid nurse beside her.
"Ms.Stark your father wants you, he's in the meeting room." Friday said and Khai groaned before walking to the meeting room.
"So you and bucky huh?" Tony said as soon as she entered the room, she looked at the screen and there were pictures of them kissing. He chuckled.
"You know when you asked me to come here, I thought because you missed me and wanted to spend time with me but it looks like you just wanted to re-marry," Tony said and Khai gasped,
"You- You knew about Hakan! how dare you?" She yelled at her father, "Lower your voice when you're talking to me." he snapped and she rolled her eyes.
"I care about you Khai okay? you think I didn't see the video of you talking with the press and these, these huge bruises all over your face. I know it was Hakan who did that-"
"Dad bucky wouldn't lay a finger on me,"
"I know,"
"Then why are you overreacting?"
"You're my little girl, I would destroy anything that hurts you and I mean anything."
"Well, you weren't with me when I was getting beaten up," Khai said and she knew that she stroke a nerve, Tony looked at her with teary eyes.
"Yeah, and I'm sorry for that," he said quietly, he pulled his daughter into a hug and kissed her head.
"I'm sorry, I just don't want you to get hurt again." he mumbled and she sighed, "Bucky is a good guy dad," she replied, and then tony started with the questions.
