"Y/N, I really want you to understand." I nodded calmly,

"I understand completely, Dabi." He blinked, his mouth falling agape,

"But you're obviously mad at- Wait, what?" His eyes widened a little and, I swear, there were tears in his eyes. I shrugged,

"If you don't want this then fine. Your emotional availability isn't my business." His lip quivered and his water line got puffy,

"Y/N, that's not what I mean. I didn't want it to happen like this." I stared at the ceiling to keep from crying,

"How else would it have happened? I asked you more than once if you wanted to be together and you said yes, every time. At any time, you could've said no and you choose now to tell me that you're not emotionally capable of a romantic relationship? You may not have wanted it to be bad, but it is Dabi. It really is." He grabbed my hands, pleading with me,

"Why do you keep calling me that?" I rolled my eyes and scoffed,

"Isn't that your name?!" He flinched back,

"But you call me Touya..." I nodded, feeling the emotion drain out of me,

"Yeah, I used to." I snatched my hands away from him,

"When we were friends." I saw his world shatter behind his eyes. The way he fell apart emotionlessly. The way he hurt the way I was hurting. Deep, deep down, it made me a little happy. Seeing how losing me ruined him. He made a grab for me, but missed. He fell to his knees,

"Y/N, no. Please. Just listen-" I stared down at him,

"Why should I? There's nothing you can say to fix this. It's gone Dabi." He folded over and sobbed,

"No, please. I can't-" I rolled my eyes,

"Can't lose me? Because I'm so important to you? Well, you should've thought about that. Maybe then this would've ended better."
