Chapter 20: "The Rockstar"

Sunshine
We make it far away from the party where you can no longer hear the music.

   I look out to the ocean, "It's beautiful here..." Sin laughs as he sticks his hands on my waist and rests his chin on the top of my head, "Hey...I have something for you."

     I turn around carefully and push the hair behind my ear as I reach down into my purse. Sin watches me intently as I do so. His eyebrows raise up when he sees me pull out a little black box with a blue ribbon out.

     "Sunshine...you didn't have to do that-" I chuckle. I hold out the box and Sin let's out a long breath before taking it.

       Sin slowly pulls the ribbon off and opens the box. Once he opens it, I can see the flicker of the silver in his eyes from the moonlight.

   "You..." Sin carefully takes the dog tag necklace out of the box and holds it up. He looks at it with the moonlight then chuckles. He looks back up at me.

I'll admit, I was very surprised when Sunshine pulled a little box out of her purse and gave it to me. But as soon as I opened it...I knew she cares. No one else realized how much that little old dog tog meant to me. And Sunshine noticed.

     "I know it wont replace your original dogtag but-" "I love it." Sunshine smiles.

    I read the front of it, "My Rockstar" and on the back of says "Sin Ainsley" on it. I am definitly her Rockstar.

    I set the box and ribbon down on a big rock next to us and slip the dogtag on.

    I step closer to Sunshine, "Will you dance with me?" I ask her. Sunshine nods and I snake my hand around her waist and pull her closer to me.

    Sunshine places her hand on my shoulder then slowly traces it down my chest and back up to my shoulder. I hold her hand with my free hand and we start to dance.

   Sunshine lays her head down on my chest and I let out a relieved breath. Maybe I should try to slip it on her wrist

    I take the braclet out of my pocket without Sunshine noticing and hold it in my hand. I quickly but carefully slip it onto her wrist and am super surprised when she doesn't notice. D*mn, I'm good.

  "Sunshine..." "Mm-hm." "Look at your wrist." Sunshine lifts up her head and looks down at her wrist.

   "How did you-" Sunshine examines the braclet. "Play from the heart." She reads it.

   I chuckle, "Yeah...it came with the necklace I gave you but I thought it would be weird to give you the braclet I guess." "And why is it not weird now?" I chuckle and pull Sunshine close to me again. I don't have the words to express how I feel.

   I pull Sunshine as close as I can to me and kiss her with so much force I think I nearly knock her over. I slip my tongue into Sunshine's mouth and she does the same. Her lips are so soft and tast like honey.

    The kiss starts to heat up. S*it, what is she doing to me? I need to stop this before I take her right here. Where have I said that before? "S-sunshine...." I say between kisses.

    "Yeah..." "We can't do this here." Sunshine smiles against my lips, "Then we'll go somewhere else." I chuckle and we pull away. Oh, alright.

   Sunshine sticks the box and ribbon back into her purse and we quickly start walking down the beach until we're back at the party. We finnaly find Alex over by the snack table with Faith.

    "Hey Alex. Me and Sunshine are going to head back up to the hotel room." "Sure, We're going to go up soon anyways. See you later." Sunshine and I continue walking until we head through the back entrance of the hotel and into the elevator.
