Katniss POV.
"This is beautiful out here." I whisper. The gold sand, the clear ocean without an end.
Peeta smiles.
I am snuggled in his chest, looking at the blue ocean, while Peeta plays with my hair.
"This feels so right." I say.
"What?" Peeta asks staring deep in my eyes.
"Us. Together, staring at the sea, without fears, despite everything we have to loose." I look dreamily at Peeta. He is the only thing I need, the only thing I want, the only thing I can't live without. I place my hand on his cheek and kiss his forehead. His skin feels soft against my lips.
Peeta gets closer to me, our noses are touching, he brushes his lips against mine, they feel so warm against my down, and he says
"I wish I could freeze this moment right here and live in it forever."
This makes me feel something warm inside me, safety? Maybe, but there's something else. Sparks run around my veins, and I feel fireworks about to set off, everywhere, from my fingertip till the end of my hair. And with this feeling I know it is true that I'm about to say.
"I love you, Peeta Mellark."
"And I love you, Katniss Everdeen, since I first saw you I knew you had done something to me. You made me feel so alive, you changed my whole life forever, and you still do." He says.
"I do?"
"Every single day when I wake up and look into your silver orbs. You have no Idea the effect you have. The say you smile, the way you laugh, the way you touch, it certainly doesn't make me indifferent."
I smile, I've felt hard for this boy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I seal the gap between our lips in a passionate kiss. There it is again, this tingling feeling I have when I'm near him. I put my arms around his neck and play with his hair during the kiss. His arms go around my waist protecting me from the world outside. Right now there's just us. Us, nothing more. And Peeta is right, I wish we could freeze this moment right now and live in it forever.
"I really do love you." I say.
