Peeta's POV.

Today I wake up earlier to cook Katniss breakfast, well it wasn't really my idea but I had a nightmare and couldn't go back to sleep, plus, I felt this urgent need of baking bread. I haven't done that in so long, since I ran off that night. I remember it clearly. I had just turned 19, and felt like I was doing nothing. the life of a baker wasn't for me, not quite yet. I needed to live my life, do what I wanted for a change. All my life people have always walked over me, I just couldn't take it any longer. my mother always yelled at me, yelling me how useless I was always I did something wrong. My dad always told me to don't listen to her, but it was hard, with every hit I got, every slap, every punch, it is hard to just ignore it.

I walk silently downstairs to don't wake up Katniss and go to the kitchen.
I decide to bake cheesebuns. that was my speciality. I make the dough and knead it when I feel a pair of arms go around my neck.
"What do we have here? A baker?" Katniss asks in a seductivly. I turn around and kiss Katniss on the lips.
"Morning, Kitty." I say mimicking her tone. Katniss smiles at me and kisses my cheek.
I go back to kneading the dough and Katniss sits in te table.
"What are you doing?" She asks.
"What do you think?" I ask playfully.
"Let me think. Showing off your muscles?"She says rolling her eyes.
"Jealous?" I smirk.
"Why would I be jealous? They belong to me."
I chuckle at that comment. True, I am Katniss's, and she is mine. And that makes me the happiest I could ever be. She changed my life completely, in a really good way. I don't picture anyone else besides her, She's my one and only.
"Katniss?"
"Yeah?" She directivos all her attention back to me. Her rebel hair braided messily and her silver eyes staring right into mines. I could stay like this staring at her my whole life.
"I love you, so, so much." I say.
She smiles widely.
"And I love you, Peeta Mellark." she answers, making me grin cheekishly.
Since Katniss said she loved me that day on the beach, we have been saying this to each other all the time, just because we never know when it is the last time we say it. Plus I want to make shure she knows that I love her with all my life, all my being, that she owns every single piece of me. everything I am is hers.
"Do you need help?" Katniss asks, bringing me back to reality.
"Huh? No, no, no need." I mumble, as I'm trying to focus on the dough. Finally it is ready and I put the cheesebuns in the oven.
"In 20 minutes they'll be ready."
"They who?" Katniss asks stupidly.
"The unicorns." I answer sarcasticly.
"Oh my god! Unicorns?" She yells histerically.
"Yes!"
"I don't know if I can wait 20 minutes for an unicorn. I'm too excited! I always wanted to meet one!" Katniss says, crossing her eyes, in stupid cut way. We both burst out laughing.
"How long have you been awake?" She asks, getting serious.
"A while now, I woke up earlier. I had a nightmare." I say neutrally.
She frowns and plates her hand on my cheek.
"Why do you have so many nightmares?" She asks.
I shrug, it's not really the subject I feel like talking about.
"Peeta, tell me." Katniss's tone is so demanding I'm almost scared.
Luckily the oven beeps and the cheesebuns are ready. I immediatly run there, running from the question, but knowing Katniss she won't give up. She is too stubborn.
I take the cheesebuns out of the oven while Katniss seta the table.
We both sit down and Katniss takes a bite of a cheesebun, and minas loudly.
"These are so so good!" She says with her mouth full, typical Katniss.
"Thank you. These were my specialities back at the bakery." I say.
"I didn't know you also baked." she says.
"Well, Katniss, I obvioulsy do! My parents own the bakery. It was my duty, I guess you could say."
"Oh." after that Katniss stays quiet, creating an awkward silence between us. After a while Katniss asks me a question that I really don't want to answer. "Why did you really leave your family?"
