Sana The Slime

Chapter 1 I'm Hungry

The darkness stretched out in the vastness of this abyss-like existence. There's seemingly no source of light can penetrate. It was Urapika mountain, the place for all kinds of creatures.

Sana was walking to it destination. Actually it's gliding right now. Or, you can called it slithering?
It's hard to describe how Sana move from place to place. Sana was the slime. It appears like blob of jelly with medium consistency. It can't be quite called liquid though. Bc It has consistency, but It can fill space!
Like a jelly indeed.

Sana was hungry. It ate anything from moss to small insects. It had tried to eat something bigger like rock. But the boulder in the entrance of compound can't be eaten by It. Sana tried! Sana sit on the upper side of the huge boulder, with much effort, It climbing high, with It unique way of walking. But, even though It sit on the boulder for a long time. The boulder won't dissipate to It stomach. Pare called it on Sana, called sana dumb dumb. Pare didn't understand Sana at all. Sana only want to try okay. It's for science! But when Pare ask Sana, what science is Sana can explain it well. Pare only shake It head slowly and went away to gather some moss.

Sana was thinking for a moment, and decided that It prefer to eat moss more than this stupid boulder that can't bulge at all even though Sana really want to digest it.
Nah, moss look cuter now.

Sana glide, and glide, and glide. Where all of moss these day. Sana got more irritated while the time pass by.
Sana start to humming some unknown song while It bounced itself off the wall of tunnels.

Bouncing feel good too! Sana proceeded to bounce Its bodies entirely while searching for some moss. While It already got bored with bouncing, Sana found something interesting. It's a bunch of insect like creatures but not the normal one. It was kind of mutated insects with big body. Sana was astonished by it hugeness. It was 3 huge beetles one of each reach one meter long. Their leg still squirming around but they can't escape because they was tangled by spider web.

Sana jump above the huge beetle which located in the front of the other two. Still bouncing on the beetle, Sana ask Mr. Beetle, what it's doing.
Mr. Beetle can only answer by screeching its mouth off. It opened and closed its mandibles repeatedly.

Sana still bounced above Mr. Beetle. It thought they can speak. Turned out they can't. Mr. Beetle had huge body, so Sana thought they're a mutant like It. They're really weird.

Mr. Beetle can't play with Sana. It became boring again. Ah, Sana almost forgot about the moss. Since Mr. Beetle can't speak, then can Sana eat them? Sana salivated inside, even though It didn't have proper mouth. It started to eat Mr. Beetle by producing some kind of strong acid which had a smell like citrus.

The spiderweb slowly dissipated while the strong carapace also slowly turned into ashes. But, shortly after when its acid almost destroyed carapace, something bigger than that beetles looming after Sana. It moved without sounds, hanging upside-down in the ceiling above Sana. Its eight eyes, turn around observing the surrounding. Then its eyes zeroed on blob-like creature which disturb its preys.

"Sana?" screeching-like voice echoed in the tunnels. It didn't sound loud, instead it sounded eerie, like some dried autumn leaf scraped together.

Sana was startled because of the sudden voice materialized out of nowhere. Sana jump off from Mr. Beetle and take a shelter in between two other beetles. That huge creature move downward with such an elegance despite having 4 pairs of hairy legs.

It called Sana for the second times. Sana still hiding its body. Its body become smaller and smaller, like a grape which has been dried into raisin.

The creature lift its right front leg, and proceeded to poking that bouncy thingy which had been reducing its presence, even though it was such an useless act to do.

Sana didn't feel any evil intention from the other, so it braving itself to take a peek from its hiding place. In it area of sight, Sana saw huge black hairy spider which towering over them. That spider poke Sana again for the second times.

"Sana!" It laughed while nudge Sana to the corner.

"Dali!" Sana wake up from it stupor then proceed to bouncing happily. If Sana knew the one who came before was Dali, It wouldn't hide away. Dali was Sana friend. Even though Dali likes to wander to the upper tunnels, Dali occasionally come to underground and played here.

"What are you doing! What are you doing?" Sana was tired of jumping, then It landed on Dali's head. Dali's eight eyes followed Sana movements accordingly.

"I called you before, why you pretend to didn't hear?"

"Eh, I don't know. You called me?"

"Yes!"

Sana was thinking hard. "Maybe I was too hungry to concentrate." said Sana while undulating Its body, expressing Its hunger.

"Eh really? Then, what were you doing with my prey? You want to eat them?"

"These are your prey?"

"Yes!"

"Are they delicious?"

"I don't know, I haven't eat them." Dali started to dissect the beetles. Dali spew some strong acid and instantly dissolved its carapace. Dali was slurping its inside out. Dali savored its content and then contemplated for a while. It moved its head like a pendulum and belching hard.

"Not bad, it has juicy texture."

"Huh? What do you mean, juicy texture? Your meal was always juice." Sana was laughing because of Dali silly statement.

"It's not different from the other meal so I think it's good. Do you want some?" Dali was offering the remaining carapace filled acid molten meat. Honestly, Sana didn't really care. As long as it can filled its hunger. So, without any politeness Sana was gulping the meat happily.
