Sana The Slime

Chapter 6 Ermine

Sana slept soundly in its mound. After eating beetle, it thought it wouldn't need to collect moss for the day and start to loitering around. But, Sana forgot that It needs to collect moss for Pare thus Pare didn't get angry at Sana anymore. In the end, Sana still went to outside Sarighnet and then search for delicious moss.

Sana had given the moss to Pare. Pare didn't angry at It anymore, Sana was happy. Sana then come back to Its mound to sleep.

"Krak...krak," there's subtle sound of something being moved in the mound. Sana was still half asleep, It thought the sound came from outside the mound. It's not uncommon to hear some creature flocking around Urapika at any time, because every creature had their own biological time.

The cracked sound cease to exist but it was replaced by the munching sound. Nom, nom, nom. Hmmm, Sana knew what sound it is. It was like the sound when other creatures munching on meat! Eh, is there any meat nearby? Sana was curious about it. Sana start to abandon Its sleep then start to search for the sound.

Sana get up and bounced from Its stone. But strangely that munching sound cease to exist when Sana landed. Hmm? Sana was confused. It went to the entrance of the mound then searched for other creatures which It suspected as the perpetrator.

Unfortunately, Sana didn't found anything outside. The perpetrator must be didn't want to share their meat with other, thus It went straight away when other creatures came.

Sana dejectedly went back to Its mound and went to check Its ration. But, when It checked the corner where Sana put beetle meet, there's only carapace left instead of meat. Sana was shocked by it. Eh why? Did some creatures stole Its beetle? But there's many dead beetle outside for everyone, there's no need to stole. Sana was baffled by it.

"Ehem...." suddenly there's coughing sound inside the mound came from Sana's stone bed. Sana was awaken from Its stupor because losing Its delicious meat. Sana then searched for source of the sound. It found out that there's a white long creature standing erect atop of Its stone bed.

Eh, what's that? Sana was completely sure that It hadn't seen a creature like this. It had a snow white short but dense fur. There's no other creature in Sarighnet with such a pure white fur, Sana dare to say that there's no one have it in Leighton either. Every white creature here will be stained by dirt and char, except if you're a mushrooms. It didn't know why mushrooms could have that of white color with fine luster coating it.

Ah, Sana knew it! "Are you kind of mushrooms?" Sana didn't realized that Sana said it out loud. Oops, the furry mushroom was fluffing Its fur. Eh, What's wrong? Mushrooms was delicious too. Even tho we can't eat the shiny ones, the other was abundant in this Leighton.

"I'm not Mushroom! Why did you set me as the same as such a eukaryotic entity!" the tall white mushroom become taller and fluffier. It almost looks like a fruit from a tropical place. Sana was amused by it and bounced Its body off to be nearer that unique creature.

"Then, what are you?" Sana asked politely, so that creature wouldn't be scared by It. That creature sounded like Pare when It was angry. Hmmm, maybe It was also angry. Would It playing with Sana later. It must be really interesting. Sana was undulating happily because of anticipation in front of the long white creature.

The Creature looking at Itself cautiously. It waved its hand and legs, seemingly confused with its own body. It still perusing its belly fur when it was suddenly light up its expression and drew the magic circle in the air instantaneously made the quasi mirror in the length of its body, in front of it.

Astonished looked pasted on its face. Sana, being curious as it always is, peeked at mushroom reflexion on the mirror. It looks the same, why the mushroom looks so disturbing about it. Sana also became confused too.

"Unbelievable! I'm an Ermine!" suddenly the mushroom shouted in amazement mixed with a tinge of incredulity.

"What's an Ermine? It's delicious?" Sana was confused by it. Sana haven't heard mushrooms called Ermine. Hmm, this friend is indeed interesting.

The supposedly white mushroom was awaken from its musing by Sana's question. He was squinting his small black beady eyes to Sana. This small thing was talking to him rather casually. Such a refreshing thing, he thought. And then he realized he was only a small Ermine now. Bummer.

Sana cocked its body and undulating impatiently, "Heyyy, what's an Ermine? It's delicious?" Sana repeated its previous question because there's still no answer from the white long mushroom.

"Oh right, where did you get that things there?" the white Ermine pointed its small hand to the corner where Sana kept its provisions, before it was cleaned up by the Ermine.

Sana finally remembered whose the culprit which gobbled up its food. "Ah, Are you the one who eat all of my meat? You need to ask for permission before eating others food. You're a bad mushroom!" Reprimanded Sana to the white creature.

The Ermine was ticked off by Sana. He can't rebutted it either. He was so hungry and his magical energy was depleted to the point he can't even transform properly. And the beetles meat contained the measly amount of magic which he needed.

The Ermine coughing in embarrassment. "Okay, I'm sorry I'm wrong. And thank you for the meat! I just awakened from my slumber and I'm really hungry, so I eat all of your meat."

"Then you must compensate me!" Sana was laughing happily. Even though its meat was eaten by a stranger, at least they admitted their wrong, maybe they would compensate Sana with more delish things, hehe.

The Ermine didn't know Sana inner thoughts. If he know, maybe he'll struck Sana with magic thunder when his magic recover to the fullest.
