Sana The Slime

Chapter 2 Forage some Mosses

Sana bade its farewell to Dali. Its stomach was full of beetle meat. Sana was happy. It started to trekking its way home. Didn't need to find moss. Although if Sana really find moss on the way to home, It won't be a chooser. Sana thinks it'll be nice if it had some food stocks. It didn't need to come out from Sarighnet again.

Sarighnet was so vast but little to no food. Maybe because it already scrooge by others. Sana can't contempt, how moss can't grow inside their home cave. Even though there's The Tree there, but we are forbidden to get near The Tree. It had this dome of energy surrounding it. We can look but not taste. Sana wondered how The Tree tasted. Is it delicious like moss? The yellow moss was the most delicious. Sana really like it. The black one taste funny but it made Sana happy. The white ones was the one which hard to digest. Sana didn't understand either. It'll dissolve in Sana's body longer than the other moss. But, it made Sana felt full longer. Sana like it!

Sana was strolling for a quite long time. It felt tired. Sana found a nook and take rest for awhile. Silent descended to the tunnels. Only the sounds of wind and critters occasionally heard. Sana slept soundly till It looks like a stone, albeit a soft one.

After period of time, that bundle of jelly-like substance was undulating softly. Sana was awaken from Its sleep. It still felt groggy, aftermath of sleep. Sana already forgot about Its quest for searching the best moss of all. The time to comeback home has come. Sana was bouncing Its body to the front.

Eh, where is here?

Sana realized the environment It had woken up to was not the place It slept. It started to explore this huge cave. There's something here that made Sana felt wrong. There's too quiet here. Sana was bouncing then accidentally toppled some boulder. Sana also fell with it. Sana rolling and rolling till Its body stumbled on other boulders.

Sana investigated the boulders around. It's not actually like other rock in caves around here. It has geometric shape, albeit it felt wonky and uneven. Those looked like a ruin of some sort monument. Sana kept exploring the ruin. There's many ruin located scattered at different locations in some huge caves. But, it didn't looks like this. Sana didn't understand the difference but it felt different.

To reduce this tense feelings in the air, Sana bounced hard and made the ruin worse by it. Sana stumbled around and after that It felt lighter. Sana undulating happily.

It's time to search for the exit hole. Sana thought for a moment, how It ended up here. But when Sana come back to the first place It appeared, It didn't find some kind of hole. Sana then searched in the opposite side of the cave.

Suddenly, there's light shone in the middle of ruin. Sana stopped from it searching and went to that source of light. The light was red in color. Different with the light which usually come from light mushrooms or moss. Usually they are green in color. And that source of light was shining like a beam till it reach cave's ceiling.

When Sana reached it destination, It saw the source of that red light. It was such a small red stone with the geometric shape that consisted of 8 corners. Sana gave the stone a nudge. That stone was wobbling for a second then it stopped. The light which it was emitted also stopped.

Sana was startled by it. It was rolling and hiding behind nearby stone. Sana waited for something to happen. It waited and waited but nothing happened. Sana felt weird. It peeked at the stone timidly. After Sana was convinced there's nothing dangerous ensued from that shining stone, It was bracing itself up to pick the red stone. Sana approached that stone and gave it a poke timidly.

The stone laid there innocently. There's nothing funny happened. Sana pick up the red stone then put it above Its body. This stone was interesting. Sana planned to tell Fabius. He always know everything.

Now! Where's the exit!!

Suddenly there's rumbling sound coming from behind. Sana saw an opening, in the size of Dali, lead to the other tunnels. Sana bounced happily towards the exit.

After trecking on so many tunnels, finally Sana arrived on Sarighnet. The cave It had fell into was on two level under the place It usually wandered around. That's why Sana can't find the exit. Sana thought It was fell from above, then the exit should be on the cave ceiling.

Sana crawled to the place Fabius usually sleep. Beside The Tree was Fabius favorite place. That big snake coiled in the corner, with his big head resting above it.

"Fabius! Fabius!!" Sana shouted not once or twice, but over and over again till that huge of head stirred from his sleep.

Fabius squinted his eyes, searched for creatures who dared to perturb his slumber. He slowly raise his head high to find the culprit. He flick his tongue out to smell the intruder.

"Fabius! Here~~" Sana became impatient and bounced incessantly to attract Fabius attention. Fabius had realized there's small things bounced excitedly right in front of him.

"Oh, it's actually you Sana. What's happening? I want to sleep more, so made it fast." Fabius lowered his head back to the exact last position. According to his biological clock, it still day time. It's not the time to hunting for prey yet. Furthermore, He already eat many mutant-like creatures before. He still felt full.

"Look! I found something interesting!" Sana showed the red stone to Fabius. Fabius observed the stone and suddenly look startled.

"Where did you found it? Ah, it's not important. Wait a moment." Fabius finally moved his huge body to the opening behind the place where he usually fell asleep. It's his personal dwelling.

Sana patiently waiting for Fabius to come out. After a while, Fabius come back with a locket in his mouth. He placed the locket in front of Sana.

"Here, placed that thing here."

"Thank you! What is this?" Sana asked about the stone.

"I don't know either, but I think it'll be useful later."
