Chapter 9 Intermezzo

"Can't you find him?" a man in the silver bright shining armor asked his attendee with a grave expression. He already waited in these backwards forest to search for that lowly fugitive. He didn't understand why the high order need to capture this fugitive. It's not like he'll do any harm. I believe he only stole some jewelry. There's no need to deploy the whole platoon to search for him. The man in armor creased his high eyebrow, thinking hard.

The only answer his attendee could produce was negative. He felt immense displeasure from that. It's not like one man could escape further than our entire platoon. We even used high quality horses as the high quality knights should have. He didn't understand what kind of artifact this man used.

Hmmm, maybe this is the reason why The High Order was so pressed to subdue this fugitive. Silver armored man relaxed his expression as he seemingly understood the reason of these hassle. It's indeed a hassle. He only displayed a glimpse of that relaxed expression, then he changed it so fast to his earlier state. He almost forgot he still need to muddling through this hot forest.

"Catch him faster, deploy all platoon to the west and south! He must be escape to these two directions." because there's only mountain ahead it would become a dead end for that little rat. No one in their right mind would choose to trudge along that ominous mountain. Everyone now how terrifying the mountain of Leighton is. Furthermore, there's a small town in the south. The man believed that this fugitive would sell its stolen goods on the next town.

"Yes, Sir!" that attendee shout his answer loud and clear. He salute the man in silver then he walk to the outside of camp to execute the order.

There's a man who hide under foliage. He observed the biggest camp here from dawn till noon. He was running out of times. Even though the sun has been shining really well these days, but in this forest with many kind of vegetation and tall trees, it's evidence that it's still suitable place to hide.

He could hides this well because the knights was so arrogant they didn't ever think that people would chose a hiding place closer to their camp.

He's Joseph, a 27 year old man who became fugitive because of stolen goods. He honestly can't figured out how last operation would fall this hard. It was a perfect plan. The goods that shipped from high order wasn't in tight surveillance like the other goods that transported at the same time.

It was not the actual goods that to be transported. They moved some of the stuff to the caravan that wasn't guarded and stole them half way. At first their group wasn't followed by these high rankings knight. The guards of that caravan only chased them half heartedly then gave up. Their horse was among the fastest so it's understandable if that measly guards couldn't catch up with them.

But after we divide the goods to their liking, the posters of their face started to circulate with high bounty. This is the first time they got that high of a bounty. Salman was excited to watch it. He suspect he wanted to hand us over to the knights. Afterwards they split up so they could confuse and divide their pursuers.

Sadly he's the one who ended up here to monitor the knight movements. Because of that damned rock paper scissors! They must knew he had a quirk to bet the rock first! Damn rock! Their family are all rocks!!

Hehe, they all will be pursued by these stinky knights~
He already tell them it's not safe to head into the city this fast. He'll head to the mountains first, waiting for the knight to dismantle these camp then after that meet his friend on that designated city.

Joseph waited for a while, then he start to move out stealthily to the woods.

"What are you doing~~" Sana was looking at Ali. Ali started to chanting infront of those stones. Ali stood there with straightened body looking more like noodles with dignified looks. Sana was snickering at the side. Ali ignored weird sound flowing out from that orange blob.

He concentrated in chanting his magic and then put his small hands in front of the rocks. Immediately, it shined brightly with purplish light then its light concentrated and went to Ali's body. His body light up brightly, then gradually dimmed.

Sana was shocked at the side then frantically bounced to hide at Osama's back. Osama was stunned at his standing place and has been petrified since didn't realize there's new baggage at his back. After the light dimmed and ceased to exists the cave felt darker than before even though there's still faint light from mosses and mushrooms illuminated the cave.

Ali instantly felt energized! His magic filled to the brim! He didn't believe it at first, he didn't think these stone had such a pure magic. He only need to consume one stone and his magic instantly became full. He tried the strengthening spell and then punched the stone in front of him.

Sana finally gathered its measly courage and take a peep at recently stopped glowing ermine. Sana was doubled shocked when experienced gaping at that small hand punch at the stone and actually pulverized it to dust.

"Wow!! Ali you're so cool!!" Sana practically flying to Ali's side and bouncing around him excitedly. It looked at the remaining dust curiously and it tried again to melt other stone there. Unsusprisingly, It's not working like before. Sana then stare at Ali intensely to find how he did it.

Being stared by the orange blob so intensely made Ali lost his pleasure after being praised by it. He glance at Sana, and make a confused face.

"What?" asked him to Sana

"How you did it!!" Sana really really curious about it.
