Sana The Slime

Chapter 7 Banter

"Then how can I compensate you?" ask the Ermine to Sana. It was reluctant to actually compensate this lowly small blob, but he was in the wrong so he indeed need to take responsibility.

"Let's forage some mushrooms!!" Sana shouted excitedly. Sana haven't eat mushrooms well these days, because the place with many mushrooms was blocked by rock. It only left really small crack on the passage. Sana could slip through them, but then It couldn't bring the mushrooms intake. The mushrooms then need to be eaten on the spot. Maybe this peculiar white creature could solve Its mishap.

"Alright! Let's go foraging some mushrooms!" The Ermine thought he could hunt the beetles along the way, or even got another source of magic for its nourishment. The Ermine then readied his bearing and start to go out of the mound.

"Eh, what are you doing?" given Its posture Sana guessed that this white creature want to go hunt now. Sana then dragged Its tail off and brought it to the stone bed.

"Sleep now, forage tomorrow! I'm tired after searching for mosses to be gifted to Pare." Sana started to sleep and blocking all outside sound. The Ermine was taken aback by its antic. Well, he can't do anything right now.

After enough rest, Sana was awaken naturally and start to sluggishly walking to the entrance. It's walking in front of its mount and bouncing lightly till It's wake up fully.

It's morning but there's no sunlight on Sarighnet. Sunshine will appear on above The Tree when the Sun was on its peak. Sunshine will trickle form above The Tree but It'll only illuminate The Tree's crown, so it'll suffice Its need to photosynthesis.

"What are we going to do today?" Sana was contemplating to search for some moss again. It forgot about the white Ermine for a moment. Sana undulating for awhile to recharge its energy.

"Oh, right!" It finally remembered the white long mushroom that suddenly appeared on its bed stone. Sana darted towards Its mound and looking for the Ermine.

"Hey, where did it go?" Sana looked at nook and cranny of its own mound but to no avail did not find the white creature.

"Mister Ermine~ where are you~?" Sana shouted to call the Ermine out. Suddenly there's a sound, "I'm not Ermine!" coming out from beside Sana's bed rock.

Sana cocked Its body to the bed rock direction but didn't fine a slight sign of the white creature. The big question mark was appeared on Its face. Unexpectedly the treasured red stone was shining brighter than ever. It was not shining red like before but instead it emitted warm white light. Mr. Ermine was appeared instantly above the red stone.

Sana was startled because of it. Its body was rolling to the back and reach its stop when it's struck on the wall behind.

"Waaaa, how did you do it!!" Sana was panicked and take a shelter on beetles' carapace which it hadn't throw away yet.

Looking at this panicked blob, the White Ermine finally bared it tongue out and laughed merrily.

"Bwahahahaha, you're so funny! Let's do it again!" The Ermine was talked about how Sana's rolling and frightened form was very amusing to it.

Sana when heard that mocking statements was angered and puffed Its body to mimic colorful balloons. "No, Mr. Ermine! You can't mock people when they're frightened! It's not good of you!" hmmph! Mr. Ermine was evil! It didn't want to be friends with Mr. Ermine anymore!

Sana was huddled Its depressed blob and sitting in the corner, sulking. Seeing these amusing sight made The Ermine more delighted. It coughed a small laugh to curb its gleeful mood, so it won't make the small blob becoming more depressed.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. These days I'm saying sorry more than I've did in my life," snorted the Ermine out. It's placating the depressed small blob awkwardly.

Sana was glanced at repentant Ermine. The white creature already apologized, so Sana thought it would become the better creature and accepted its apologize.

"Okay, I'll accept your apology! Let's search for some mushrooms! I'm already hungry. There's no meat anymore because of you!" glanced at the remaining carapaces, Sana remembered how it felt elated before because it didn't need to went out of Sarighnet and only need to loitering all day in Urapika, maybe teasing other slime, hehe. But, mushrooms sounds awesome too! Sana became happier because of it.

"Alright, let's go." The Ermine conceitedly jump to Sana's top. It's lying obediently while daydreaming of elusive past. Sana was bewildered at first, there's no other creatures ever sit atop of it. It's such a weird experience, but maybe Mr. Ermine was sick or something, so It can't walk normally. Furthermore, It was such a small fluffy creature. Sana actually wanted to touch it, but now Sana could feel the fluffy texture of its fur atop of Sana. It felt so soft, hehe.

Then both of them went out in searching for delicious mushrooms outside of Sarighnet. There's as always only darkness was expanded in Leighton tunnels. Only a luminous mosses and mushrooms illuminated their path. It looked dreamy with the tinge of eerie vibes. The mosses and mushrooms shining green softly, with haze of light surrounded them.

At first these things didn't bother our almighty Ermine. But finally the Ermine came out from its daydream and rather annoyed by these lack of light. The Ermine then cast its light magic and produced a small ball of white light that shone brighter than any of those mosses and mushrooms.

Sana was startled again for the nth times today. Luckily It didn't bounced back from the ball of light out of nowhere appearance. Sana only petrified for a moment, halted its advancement to the next tunnel.

"Wow, Mr. Ermine, you're so cool!!" exclaimed Sana excitedly. Sana was looking at the bright-but-not-too-bright ball of light which hovered in front of it. It poked the ball but Sana's touch was pass through, can't actually touched the ball.

"Of course! It's because I'm an amazing magician." stated Mr Ermine proudly.

"And don't call me Mr. Ermine anymore. Call me Ali." continued Mr. Ermine, no Mr. Ali.

"Okay, Ali!"
