part 3

Chapter 6: BROOKE

I could barely sleep last night.  All I could think about was how perfectly Tyler had fit into everything.  How comfortable things were with him…and how much I wanted to kiss him.  Thank god he was coming with us to the competition this weekend.

We pulled up to the studio and I was running on practically zero hours of sleep. Abby and Tyler were both already there, along with Maddie, Mackenzie and Melissa.  It was 7AM, but somehow Mackenzie was already trying to jump on Tylers back, who was half asleep and had no idea what was going on.  I was too

tired to laugh, so I just smiled as the car came to a stop.

I managed to get out and grab my bag, but as soon as I walked up to Tyler he opened up his arms for a hug, and I couldn’t help but collapsing into his chest.  I was too tired to care who was watching.  I probably could of fallen asleep if Mackenzie wasn’t tugging at my hoodie sleeve.

“Brooke!” She yelled, “Carry me”

I just couldn’t say no to her, so somehow I smiled and picked her up.  Tyler loaded all the luggage onto the bus as we waited for everyone else to arrive.  Once we were all there, we settled into our seats.

Tyler and I took the very back row.  Maddie, Chloe, and Paige were all directly in front of us, basically hovering over our seats, and Mackenzie was with her mom.  I could already tell they weren’t going to leave Tyler or I alone for a long time, and I wanted to sleep.

“So what do you wanna do first?” Paige chirped to everyone

Tyler shot me an exhausted look.

“Before I can do anything, I need to sleep.” I said

“Me too.” Tyler quickly added

“Didn’t you two sleep enough last night during the show?” Chloe said, causing all the girls to start giggling.

I could feel my entire body turning red.  I couldn’t believe she just said that. 

“Just wake us up in a few hours” Tyler said calmly, before I had a chance to respond.

The girls all sighed, but surprisingly turned around and sat back down.  Tyler shifted his weight so I could use his chest as a pillow.  I felt him lightly kiss the top of my forehead, and then I was out.

“Don’t wake her up yet” I suddenly heard Tyler whisper.

“Why?” Mackenzie said loudly, “Its been 3 hours.”

“I know” Tyler said with what sounded like a smile, “but she looks comfortable.”

I kept my eyes closed and tried not to blush

“Fine.” Maddie said, “but you have to play a game with us.”

“Okay” Tyler laughed, “What?”

“Truth or Dare.” They all said at once

Oh my god…I should probably open my eyes.  They were going to annoy him to death if I didn’t.

“Truth” I heard Tyler respond, kind of quickly.

“What do you like best about Brooke?” Maddie asked almost immediately, barely even getting one word out before giggling

Maybe I could just listen for a little bit…I felt Tyler take a breath and chuckle, but he tightened his arms around me.  I could feel the girls bouncing with anticipation, and it took everything in me to not be bouncing with them.  What was he going to say?
