part 9

Chapter 16: VICTORIA

Tyler and Brooke opened the doors to the dressing room; I only a few steps behind them.  As soon as we walked in, the room exploded with excitement. I saw 4 little girls run up to them.  Each one fighting for their attention.  After a few seconds, one of the blondes noticed me standing over by the door.

“Who’s that?” She asked pointing at me and wrinkling her nose

“I have someone I want you all to meet,” Tyler said, turning towards me and smiling, “this is my sister, Tori.”

“Oh my god you have a sister?” One of them screamed as she looked over at me, “She’s really pretty.”

“You guys look like twins.” The little one yelled immediately after, hanging from Tyler’s neck

I looked at Tyler and smiled.  He was totally right, they were adorable.

“Well its so nice to finally meet you guys!” I said with a smile, “I’ve heard so much about all of you.”

“Really?” They all asked, smiles taking over there faces

“Really.” I answered, smiling back, “I think Tyler filled me in on just about everything.”

They all looked over at Tyler with wide eyes and grins before looking back at me.

“Do you know our names?” One of them asked, giggling

“I think I could give it a pretty good try.” I said

“Who am I?” The little one whose arms were locked around Tyler’s neck asked with a giggle

“Well you must be Mackenzie.” I said, smiling back at her

All of the girls looked at each other and gasped a little.  I really didn’t think they believed I actually knew them. 

“What about me?” One of them asked

“Me too!” Another chimed in

“Yeah what’s my name?” The last one said

I looked over at Tyler and let out a laugh.  He just smiled and shrugged at me.

“Hmmm” I said smiling at the three girls, “Well you must be Maddie.”

The little Brunette’s eyes lit right up before she smiled up at me.  I looked between the two blondes left and couldn’t help but smile as I watched them bounce up and down.

“Well you must be Chloe,” I said to the longhaired blonde, “and this must be the famous Paige.”

“I’m famous?” Paige giggled as she looked up at Tyler

“Of course you are.” Tyler answered before looking back at me

“Tori actually came to see us all dance today.” Brooke chimed in after a second

“Wow really?” Paige asked, staying by Tyler’s side

“Yep,” I answered, “All the way from New Jersey.  I heard you guys were good or something?”

The girls giggled

“You’ll get to see Brooke and Tyler’s duet.” Chloe said, “It’s really good.”

“Yeah, Miss Abby says it’s because of their chemistry,” Mackenzie blurted out, “but I think it’s because their boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Everyone busted into laughter.  I watched as Brooke and Tyler smiled at each other from across the room before returning their attention back to the girls.  I haven't seen my brother look at a girl like that in a long time.  Since he's left home actually. It was almost like seeing a ghost when I saw that smile. A million different emotions came flooding through my body when I thought about that smile, the famous smile I swore I never thought I'd see again.  I felt myself start to tear up then immediately stopped myself, i wasn't going to let myself do this here so I quickly shoved those old memories back inside where they belonged and diverted my attention back up to Tyler.
