Jennie was at home in her closet crying. Not only did her mother yell at her for no reason, but she thought to beat her as well. Jennie replays the memories even though she didn't want to, they just couldn't leave her.
flashback to two days ago...
Jisoo waves bye to Jennie as she walks into her home. What was waiting for her made her skin go pale. Her mom and dad waiting for her.
"Sit down Jennie." Her mother tells her. Jennie sits across from them and feels a lump in her throat.
"Who was that girl you were with?" Her father asked.
"My friend." Jennie answered while looking down. She a heard knowing her father wasn't happy with her answer.
"Why were you with her?" Her mother ask her this time.
"We wanted to hang out with each other. That's it." Jennie says still looking down to avoid her parents gazes. Jennie didn't understand what was so bad about her hanging out with Jisoo. They never cared when she came home super late from work or school. So why now? Why now do they suddenly care and why are they making a big deal about it.
"Why didn't you tell us that you were with her?" Jennie mother asked again. Jennie knew if she didn't say this right she would be in deep trouble.
"Don't ignore your mother you little shit." Her father spat at her.
"I didn't think about it..." Jennie says low, but for them to hear. Jennie was too scared to even look up when she heard footsteps coming to her. Something that made her look up was the impact that was on her cheek.
"You didn't think about it?" Her mother said slapping her again. Jennie's father stood up and went into the other room not caring that his wife was beating his Daughter, but of course it didn't concern him so why should he care.
"You little shit! You need to know that there's people you need to stay away from! And she's one of them!" Jennie's mother yells at her after she was done hitting her.
"Get out of my sight." Jennie's mother tells her, she didn't need to be told twice. Jennie stood up and walked to her room just laid in her bed she didn't even want to sleep that night either. She was too scared to fall asleep. Jennie just laid there sleepless and scared to make a sound. Too scared to do anything. Before she knew it it was morning and she had to head to work. She wanted to call out, but she knew Nayeon would be worried.
So Jennie pulled herself out of her bed and went to get her work clothes and went to change and get ready. Jennie saw how her face looked, her mother didn't leave any bruises, but it was pretty swollen. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't good either. She also had bags due to her not sleeping. Jennie sighed knowing Nayeon is going to ask what happened to her. She just tried not to worry about it and got ready for the day.
Jennie walked out of the house without letting anyone know, or at least she thought she did.
"Where do you think your going?" Jennie's mother ask in a tired and angry tone. Jennie turned around and faced her mother.
"I'm going to work." Jennie says looking at her mother only once and having her eyes meet the ground. Jennie's mother stood there for a bit and Jennie could feel the aura she was giving off. She knew her mother wasn't going to let her go to work.
'Maybe I should have called out....' Jennie thinks as she feels her cheek sting again like it did last night.
"You need to stop it with these lies, it's getting old." Jennie's mother says as she walks off leaving Jennie standing in the middle of the living room. Tears start to fall down her face and Jennie heads back to her room calling her work that she won't be able to work that day. Jennie wanted to text Jisoo, but felt like she would be bothering her if she did.
end of flashback....
So Jennie was just in her room, not being able to sleep, eat or even text her friends for a full conversion. All she texted Lisa was 'I don't feel good, I'm not going to school.' Jennie didn't even see the texts that Jisoo was sending her, causing Jisoo to worry about her, but Jennie didn't care to look at her phone. She just wanted to be alone. That was all she wanted just to be by herself, she didn't want to worry about anything. Nor did she feel like being yelled at again.
Jennie pulled out her phone and saw the messages that Jisoo texted her, but she knew if she read them Jisoo would know and worry more about her.
"Sorry Jisoo...." Jennie says not reading the texts and going to her music.
ɴᴏᴡ ᴘʟᴀʏɪɴɢ ꜰʀᴏᴍ "ʟɪꜰᴇ ɪꜱ ꜱʜɪᴛ" ᴘᴀɴɪᴄ ʀᴏᴏᴍ
Jennie listened to this song so many times, but it always felt like the song was a good example. Here not that many people would have to worry about others worrying about here while she fights her battle alone. Yes it was scary, but it was her life. Not Lisa's, not Rose's, and not Jisoo's. Jennie had a feeling school would be over in a bit and Jisoo would probably want to come and check on her. But was there something to stop Jisoo from coming? Probably not. Jennie thought to herself knowing she'll have to face Jisoo sooner or later.
What didn't click in Jennie's mind is why Jisoo cared so much about her. Why did Jennie care so much for Jisoo. It wasn't the same kind of care for Lisa and Rose. Jennie was sacred what her parents would do to Jisoo at the mall. If it wasn't for Jisoo she would have felt with her parents if it was Lisa or Rose or even Nayeon.
What was different about Jisoo.....
A few minutes later the door bell rang.
