Jennie didn't really want to go home after school. She had a feeling that her mother was going to say more to her about her brother. Or something whatever it was Jennie doesn't want to hear it. Jennie didn't want to do anything for the rest of the day that had to do with her mother.
Jennie wanted to focus on her work, but really couldn't, Nayeon noticed this too. Then an idea came to her head. Making her smirk.
"So how you going to confess to Jisoo?" Nayeon asked Jennie making her almost drop what she was holding. Jennie looks at her with a blush and Nayeon looks at Jennie as she wiggles her eye brows.
"Well Lisa made this box and we had to put in something we want to tell the others and I put in that I'm gay and I like Jisoo." Jennie looks the other way for avoid looking at Nayeon.
"I guess one way to confess, but wouldn't be better to tell her face to face?" Nayeon tells her.
"It would be in two days since that how long Lisa's keeping the box." Jennie tells Nayeon looking at her now.
"Two days? But your graduating in two days." Nayeon explains. Jennie walks over to Nayeon and nods.
"Yeah we'll be seeing the box way before we graduate....Are you going?" Jennie ask now looking at the floor. Nayeon smiles and takes Jennie's hand.
"Of course I am. Why would you think I wouldn't go?" Nayeon tells her.
"I don't know maybe you wouldn't be able to make it or something. Bet my own mom and dad won't go." Jennie says going back to what she was doing.
"Well you never know. Your no offence, but she's a lose case. Now your dad it's a big if. I mean he did let me and Jisoo see you. So that's something." Nayeon tells Jennie making her look at her.
"I guess you're right, but I don't know. When it was Chen's graduation I was the only one who went. And people kept asking where my parents are. I just told them that'll they be back when they were never there. So why would they come to mine?" Jennie states then looks at the clock and outside. It was time for her to leave and clock off. Outside she saw Chen's car waiting for her.
"I gotta go. Thanks for listening Nayeon." Jennie tells her clocking out and leaving. Nayeon smiles as she watches Jennie leave.
"What are friends for." Nayeon says going back to work.
In the car Jennie saw Chen just looking at the road in front of them. He also had sunglasses on as well. Jennie knew very well when he wears sunglasses, he's hiding something on his face.
"Let me guess..." Jennie starts making him look at her.
"She hit you." Jennie looks at him. Chen takes off the glasses and it shows his black eye. Chen drives back to the house. Jennie looked the other way because she knew he didn't want to talk about. When they got to the house it was all dark so they knew no one was up.
The two walked in the house and turned on the light. Only to be met with their father waiting for them. Chen was in front of Jennie to protect her.
"Sit down, both of you." They did what he said to see what he wanted. Their father pulled out papers for them to read. It was divorce papers. Jennie and Chen looked at their father on disbelief.
"So you're finally leaving mom?" Chen asks looking at him. Jennie looks over the papers as well.
"You really think she's going to let you leave?" Jennie says still looking at the papers.
"I'll leave anyway, I've been do what your mother has been telling me to do for so long. I wanted to change when Chen left for college. I wanted to be a better father for you Jennie." Their father tells them. Jennie really wants to believe him and feels as if she should. Chen on the other had was mad. He was mad that he wanted to change after Chen left. Why couldn't he change when he was still here.
"Bull shit." Chen says making Jennie and their father look at him.
"That's fucking bull shit! You want us to think of you as father of the year? Just because your divorcing mom which you should have done years ago? You're probably thinking that we'll forgive all the shit you put us through because of this? Huh bet that's what you're thinking." Chen yells at their father. Tears were in his eyes.
"No I won't forgive you for the abuse and torment you put me through. I won't forgive you for making Jennie see that shit too. She was six years old when she learned to clean a cut. A cut you made when you hit me with your beer bottle! What kind of childhood was that? That was pure hell for the both of us! Do you know how many times I wanted to come back and bring her with me?!" Chen yells again as tears go down his face. Tears start to form in Jennie's eyes as well.
"Say something you asshole! Say something to tell me you actually care for me and Jennie! Say something for I can see that my father isn't the bastard he is!" Chen yells at him. Their father stands up and walks to Chen. He puts his hands on his shoulders and pulls him in for a hug. Chen was in shock, it was the first time he got a hug from him. Jennie looks in shock as well, never has she seen her dad hug someone.
"I'm sorry, I know you won't forgive me. I know that every well. I don't expect Jennie to forgive me either, but please give me a chance to become a better father. I'll be taking Jennie with me when I leave." Their father tells Chen and then looks at Jennie. He opens his arm for Jennie to join in the hug.
"I promise to keep you away from you're mother. The both of you." Their father pulled them both in for a hug.
"You better keep you promise or you'll never see us again." Chen tells him as Jennie starts to cry. A real family moment. Something she always wanted. Not just her and Chen.
"I want you to pack, we're leaving tomorrow. I already have a place for us. We'll come back for the rest after you graduate. Chen help you're sister." Their father tells them The two head up to Jennie's room and started to pack up.
"You think he'll keep his promise?" Chen ask while helping Jennie. She looks at him and sighs.
"I have no idea Chen....we can only hope he does." Jennie tells him. Chen looks at her with a sad smile.
"I get the feeling that if you were to stay it would be for her." Chen tells her knowing who they're talking about.
"Yeah....I will stay for her." Jennie tells him.
"I kinda did the same. Maybe you'll get to meet them soon." Chen smiles and goes back to what he's doing.
"Them?" Jennie ask wondering who he's talking about.
"Do you mean Beakhyun and the others?" Jennie asks again getting a laugh from Chen.
"No I mean my wife and baby." Chen tells her putting her in shock.
"When the fuck did that happen?"
